I’m strong Until I crack And just like that I shatter like I’m glass - SS
“She wanted as many friends as possible in the studio to listen to her new songs or listen to her new ideas, and in return she made everyone around her feel that somehow we were part of what she did. Stevie peered at whomever she was talking to with an uncommon intensity (in part because her contact lenses did not totally compensate for her farsightedness). She spoke in an intense quiet cadence that conveyed the idea that whatever topic she was obsessed with at the moment was of transcendent importance. But she was also at others’ jokes, and created the illusion that everyone in her entourage was somehow her equal. Stevie had asked a local jeweler to create several dozen crescent moons out of eighteen-carat gold, which she presented to her close friends with a solemnity like that of an initiation.” - Danny Goldberg
I tell people all the time that they should keep a journal, even if it’s just, ‘I had a terrible day today and I don’t want to talk about it, love Stevie,’ or 'I dreamt last night…’ Even if it’s just three sentences because at the end of five or six days, you would have created a habit and you will find that over a month that you have a whole story growing. Whether it’s just for your own memories, so you can go back at any age, or if you are a writer or a singer, or some part of the creative business. You can be creative, anyone can be creative if they want to, you just have to want to.

I exist too much, I feel too much, think too much. Reality is crushing the life out of me.

Drinking about you
I still hit the bottle about about a day or two to rid you like a poison, but your toxics sunken through; in between my hollow bones so deep beneath my skin Now I just drink to feel and keep my demons in. But would it be so rude of me to ask you for a gift? Could you pull me open by the bearings of my chest? And slip between my rib cage until you find whats left of that thing you call a heart; that thing that I call death And when you hold it in your hands douse it in cheap gin. Then light a match atop the mess and throw it all back in

Read the book that’s best for you. If you’re living with depression, read a novel about depression. If you’re heartbroken, read a novel about unrequited love. If you’re feeling suicidal or hopeless, read a depressing poetry collection, and in a weird way, it’ll give you some hope. And that’s what literature is all about, understanding and knowing that your pain, your suffering is universal.

I saw you again after a whole year apart and remembered why my heart used to skip a beat when I heard your name.

Everything you love is here
Understand me. I’m not like an ordinary world. I have my madness, I live in another dimension and I do not have time for things that have no soul.

When thinking about life, remember this: no amount of guilt can change the past, and no amount of anxiety can change the future.
This is so important. (via perfect)
