Hello again everypony!

Finally an upload after such a long time and I apologize for being so inactive lately! Just a lot of things going on at once, very stressful. Had two weeks to relax lately, however, so I will probably try to improve my drawing skills again sooner rather than later.

That said, this was obviously not made by myself, but anyway, I really think it’s quite amazing~ There’s not too many occasions on which I can wear something like this, even as a Canterlot noble’s daughter. ‘Hope it’s to your liking, not too flashy or anything.

Well, what started out as eye-practice turned into something more! My quickest drawing yet (very first sketch ever not counting) at 40 Minutes 'completion' time. As it was just for practice I'm not going to do lineart. And I realized I need to try wings soon, so evil.

Well, this was an attempt at something new. Took me a while and I'm not entirely certain whether I'm happy with it or not. Also, these are slowly but surely drifting further away from being sketches, but for now I shall keep the tag like this, to identify everything that I drew myself.

"Well, I can't read minds, but perhaps something like this-- or .. Uh, oh! Looks like something came loose from the poking. That doesn't seem to be a cutie mark after all.." (Okay .. this is the very first ask ever, and thus the very first answer ever. This might sound a bit silly but .. somehow it's exciting. I used this chance of adding a few things to also alter small details that others pointed out or I saw myself. Still learning after all!)

Hi, Sunset here again! Again, it didn't take as long as it did in the past before my next post. The more I draw the more I like what I draw, the more confident I am to draw again and of course the more confident I am to show it to others. Some of you watching me might not know, but I am (trying to) RP - roleplay. At one of the places I go to do that a friend of mine told me they expect a friend to sign up soon and showed me an image of their character. You can see it at the top center of this uploaded image. I don't exactly know why, but somehow I wanted to draw this one as soon as I looked at it. And this is the result! Now, I'm not sure, but somehow I think the things I draw look better black and white. At least for now. I will eventually try to learn more about colouring as well, but for now I'll stick to practice to learn how to draw the lines in different perspectives, to always get proportions right, etc. Well, I hope you all still like either version of this~ Until next time!

Two days! When a pony's in the mood then a pony's in the mood, I'd say~ So, I decided I should try and draw myself, standing on my hind hooves with my front hooves against the camera .. I didn't quite manage that! However, what I did manage was drawing a pony with proper proportions this time (I might fix the leg size of the previous sketch eventually.. maybe). And isn't this much cuter as well? Well, sadly I am not trying to improve in colouring yet, so it's only flat colours. She seems well enough, though. Just give her lots of hugs and she'll be all happy~ To stay true to the title of this blog I included some black and white sketchy versions as well (though technically they're linearts of course..) Hope you all like it. I still need to look at references, but I've definitely gotten better since the first sketch I uploaded, hehe. I doubt the next update will be as quick as this one, so.. until next time!

So after a three month wait since my last entry I not only get a commission, but on the same day finish something myself. I think I'm getting better .. no real practice in between sketches so far. Used the mane and tail and the Cutie Mark of somepony I know. I guess it might count as a kind of gift then (same with the Hearthlight sketches before, too). I have the feeling something looks a little off, something about the proportions I think. But anyway, hope you all like this as well!

Hello everypony! As there are some of you watching me, and due to me taking so long to post anything on here, I thought the next thing I show needs to be something special. It is not perfect, of course. It's kind of the third sketch I ever made and I should really train my magic for things like these some more. But anyway, I hope you all like it and won't regret following me~

There is another commission I received and I will post it soon! And I'll hopefully get back to you with more sketches at some point, sooner rather than later.

(and in case some might wonder: yes, that's supposed to be me in the sketch~!)

I finally finished it! After 6 hours total and a liiiiittle bit later than I said, but it is done! Just don't make me draw a proper background. This has to suffice.

Hello again, Sunset here!

So, it appears I have even more followers by now (eight so far, squee~). And I haven't posted anything new in such a long time. I feel kind of bad.

I have to say, drawing using magic isn't as easy as I thought. But I'm slowly getting the hang of it. Not that I tried drawing anything since my last entry until today, still.. I was a little more patient this time around, it took me three hours which I only realized after I was done (who would have thought time can fly by that fast!) and I had a tutorial open, which I actually no longer used halfway through. But I'm quite positive the result was really worth the time I invested!

So I present to you: Hearthlight!  She's a friend of mine, and after I was done trying to draw a face using the tutorial I decided I should go a step further and try to make a portrait of her. I will try to draw her body tomorrow (there it is again, the bad word that means I might take a month to write something again, shoo!), so maybe I will have something more to show, if it turns out alright. If not, well, then I will practice some more before I show something new.

It might sound strange, but *glances at the title of her blog* I actually never imagined I'd get any, at least for now.

There's some new, too! I ordered myself a drawing tablet. I have absolutely no idea if I'm good enough with my magic to do delicate work like that, so it might be I cannot draw even once I get it. But it's a start!

( PS: I will definitely upload new images whenever I commission any, so even if I end up unable to draw there'll at least be a few nice things to see here. )

Why you shouldn't ask me

So, why is my Blog's title unlike everypony else's not "Ask", but "Don't ask" you might wonder? To be honest, my drawing proficiency is equal to non-existant. And I do believe that a Blog of this kind without much to look at might not be as fun as all the others which have all those nice pictures and sketches..

Of course, if you stumble across  (or, well, tumble on?) this blog, you are free to ask away anyway, if you think it is worth your time. *smiles*

Hello everypony, my name is Sunset Radiance.

As you may have noticed I am a blank flank even though I am almost an adult by now. I don't really mind being one, but some things I am called..

I do have a special talent, though (wonder why it didn't earn me a cutie mark yet)! I can create all sorts of shapes with my magic, solid ones, like the platform I am resting on right now. Over the years I have become quite good at it, but maybe I have to do something absolutely amazing with it before it is considered really special.

What else is there to talk about, hm. My parents are living in Canterlot, but they are nothing like the snobs like some others I've met there before. Me? Well, I think I might go see the world, explore other places some time soon.
