I’m still not over how perfect the Shadow & Bone show is. Like how did they get the casting to be that freaking perfect? And the acting is so good. And the humor is great. And the crows are amazing. And the chemistry between the characters is better than I could have imagined. It feels too good to be true because I have never seen a Netflix adaptation that came even close to being as good as the novels as Shadow & Bone has.

The whole “Remus and Sirius get Harry joint birthday gifts aww how gay” thing gets a nice little crushing aftertaste when you remember how, in Deathly Hallows, Harry finds a letter Lily wrote to Sirius shortly after Harry’s 1st birthday in which she thanks Sirius - and only Sirius - for the toy broom he got her son, while Remus is not even mentioned once, although Peter is, indicating that at this point 

(1) Sirius and Remus were not at good enough terms to get Harry a birthday present together, and 

(2) that likely, Lily and James weren’t in close contact with Remus anymore, either, which leads us to assume that 

(3) everyone suspected Remus to be the spy, even his boyfriend, and he was desperate and alone, and I’m crying,
