I am a 15 year old girl living in Canada. I struggled with my weight throughout grade 8 and 9. I restricted my calories, lost weight rapidly and lost my period but now in grade 10 and recovered from my under eating but I find myself binging everyday now. I overeat at least one meal everyday to the point where I feel like my stomach is going to burst.I feel so fat as I have gained lots of weight and I just feel so lost and obsessed with food. HELP
Hi AnonFirst of all, congratulations on recovering and making it as far as you have! Every step absolutely counts! As far as the bingeing, I used to have this problem to the max! I found that night I was constantly searching for munchies or I wasn't feeling satiated. I started by either brushing my teeth immediately after dinner (I mean the minty breath made me not want to eat because then I had to brush again!) or I would make tea and sip on it slowly, or just distract myself and my hands. I would paint my nails, read a book, play a game on my phone, anything really to just distract from eating. I hope this was helpful! :)
