Myanmar’s Rohingya are effectively stateless. 400 were stranded at sea and turned away by Thailand. New York Times journalist Thomas Fuller said the migrants pleaded desperately as he and other journalists approached the boat, crying: “Please help us! I have no water! Please give me water!” They were then rescued by Indonesian fishermen and brought ashore to safety.  x  x

These are people who are suffering; and have nowhere to turn to. They should not be ignored.
