Doing my annual catch up on a few Spiderman comics, and I can’t express enough how much marvel is holding the character back by not allowing him to progress. I feel like it’s constantly the same drama over and over and over and it just feels unfair to the character and consumers itself.

Personally, in my ideal world, Peter and MJ are married. Peter is currently working as a teacher part time photographer, and occasional superhero, I’m not saying that Peter has to stop being Spiderman, but I feel like by not allowing him to mature past relationship drama, or at least expanding upon it in a meaningful way you eliminating more stories that could be told.

I’m definitely not the first Spiderman Fan with this thought and I’m definitely not going to be the last but I just think Peter Parker deserves better as a character and I just think it would be really interesting to see more stories with him as a teacher permanently and how that really affects his role as a superhero and what conflicts he may deal with because of this.

(also I’m kind of tired of the spider verse comics and their repercussions)
