Nostalgic Little Space Activities 🌥️

Sometimes nostalgic things help me regress and these are some of my favourites to do

☁️ Playing board games. For example, snakes and ladders; top trumps; hungry hippos; guess who. (thrift shopping is perfect for buying board games).

☁️ Playing DS (Nintendo Dogs 🐕), Gameboy, Play Station 1

☁️ Watching old shows (I have another post with nostalgic show ideas)

☁️ Drawing outside with chalk (I love hopscotch)

☁️ Eating nostalgic food combos (Jelly and ice cream, peanut butter and jelly sandwhiches, smiley faces, dino nuggets)

☁️ Drinking nostalgic drinks (J20, fruit shoot, Caprisun)

☁️ Reading nostalgic books (The Rainbow Fish, The Very Hungry Caterpillar, Elmer, We’re Going on a Bear Hunt, The Tiger Who Came to Tea, The Gruffalo)

☁️ Doing craft sets (Painting Kits, Bead Jewellery Making Kits, Tye Die, Aquabeads, Fuse Beads)

☁️ Playing with Nostalgic toys (Play Doh, Barbie, Bratz, Sylvanian Families, tamagotchi)

☁️ Nostalgic room decor (Lava lamps, Wall stickers, Fun Colourful bedding, Cute posters, Bean Bag)

☁️ Listening to Nostalgic Music (Tv show theme songs, disney, HSM, Camp Rock)

Anyone else feel like their plushies have really inconsistent ages?

Some of mine feel normal, like my Mamegoma plush is a seal pup, the puppies are regular puppies, etc

But then I have one who feels like a whole teenage girl and is sort of like a big sister to me, and another that feels like a father figure.

My ex destroyed me and took away my safe feeling when in little space so now I really struggle with it

Hey, I’m so sorry to hear that. It’s a terrible thing to go through and I sincerely hope that you can heal ❤️‍🩹

I unfortunately struggle with staying in my headspace too when I’m regressing voluntarily because I have negative associations left over from childhood, but we each have our own unique experiences so what helps me might not necessarily help you.

That said, I find I can stay small better when I’m alone somewhere that I know I won’t be bothered, and my phone is off so I won’t be exposing myself to triggering content.I’m no expert though, and this doesn’t always work for me, so I don’t know if it will be of any use to you. I’m sorry I don’t have any better advice :(

Is Mezzo Piano a child brand? I'm just curious because I wonder how they fit on adults. I really like the aesthetic!

Yup, they make clothes in sizes up to 160 which is like a US women’s small-medium. Their skirts run small though, more like a size xsmall-small. In general, the jumpers run larger than the tshirts, which run larger than the camis and tank tops. If you’re looking to buy, def ask the seller for measurements.

Places that unlocked Childhood Wonder:

Pet stores, especially for the first time 

Staying up past bed time

Meadows 

Small clusters of trees, bushes, and gardens (bonus points for being in the middle of summer) 

Going to a fair or carnival for the first time 

Seeing your new classroom on the first day of school

Toy stores, big or small

Any kind of field trip for school, especially to museums 

Fountains. Extra special if they were in a mall. 

Lakes that you weren’t allowed to swim in but still touched the water

Seeing mountains or the ocean for the first time from the backseat of the car 

Waiting for it to get dark on the 4th of July 

Attics in general 

Riding in the back of a pickup truck or SUV

Going on a walk or to a park and being allowed to pet a stranger’s dog

Trampolines with nets around them 

Hiding in the little clubhouse at the top of a jungle gym or playground 

Sitting by a door or window looking out at snow (or rain!)

The Super Easiest Ways to Feel Little

(Absolutely Zero Gear Required)

🍊 use your non-dominant hand!

Whether it’s using a fork or brushing your teeth, using the wrong hand will make your tasks a little more difficult, like you’re learning them for the first time!

🍊 use both hands!

Like holding a cup or carrying things around, sometimes little ones need to be extra careful not to drop things <3

🍊 try it a new way!

Walking around? Maybe you could skip! Or only step on the white tiles! Or carefully step over the concrete lines! Little ones are so creative, they can turn something simple into something super fun

🍊 give it a voice!

“Well hello Mr. Fork, how are you doing today?”“Very well, thank you, Mr. Spoon.” No toys, no problem! What do you think your comb would say if it could talk?

🍊 no erasing!

Write/draw/journal with something that can’t be erased, like a pen or a marker (sharpies are my favorite!). The mistakes don’t matter, so if you mess up, keep going! Can you fill the whole page?

Age Regression is not about the objects you have, it’s about reclaiming the mindset of curiosity and healing the part of yourself that finds joy in the little things. <3

Hey I’m no expert but I don’t see anything wrong with it! There are people older than you in the community, as well as younger. I’d say have at it, but also maybe talk to a professional first? I’m just a dude online lol.
