The loft is gone. We will never see it again. Buck is now a resident of 4995 S Bedford St. He will move all of his belongings into that house. He will park his car in that driveway. He will sit in that living room. He will cook in that kitchen. He will sleep in that master bedroom. He has never really been a guest in that house, and now, officially, he isn’t. He will update his personnel files to that address. He will set up mail forwarding. When he gets off shift, he will drive to South Bedford Street. He will live in that house. But he won’t really be home. Because the people that made it a home are in El Paso.
