I could definitely see Peko straight-up refusing a wheelchair or anything like that when she first woke up. She's extremely weak and can barely walk after being comatose and Fuyuhiko basically has to wrap his arm around her for support because he doesn't want to see her suffering. He'd try and say "It's okay to ask for help, y'know...", as Peko tells him he's got better things to do than worry about her - she doesn't believe him when he says she's the most important thing in his life right now.

YOUR LAST LINE KILLED ME. You’re hitting some important points, anon! Particularly Peko asking for help and Fuyuhiko evaluating his desires. These are gonna be some very important upcoming milestones!

I Had You In My Sights is going to take a bit of a… different direction in regards to Peko’s immediate awakening though. Hopefully without spoiling too much of my plans, it takes Peko over a year to wake up. I’ve read a lot of cases of coma patients who’ve been in a vegetative state for so long awakening with loss of control on motor and sensory skills, sooooo. Peko’s gonna go through something similar. A lot of confusion. A lot of panic. A lot of frustration. Essentially she’s gonna need some time for her brain to reset before the doctors will allow visitation. It’s gonna be very nitty-gritty but I am so excited.

THE HEARTFELT MOMENTS WILL BE THERE THOUGH.

Let’s not forget Fuyuhiko needing to go through therapy too! The poor guy carries so much guilt on his shoulders, even when it’s… honestly not his fault. And that’s gonna be an obstacle to overcome. Again, another important milestone.

You are squeezing so much info out of me, but I hope you look forward to it, anon!! I’m definitely looking forward to writing it!!!
