Well I figured since I have been more active in here as of late, I may as well introduce myself proper.

Hi, I'm Alta (She/Her)! A Brit who posts about fromsoftware games and utterly loves them. I do dabble in other interests from time to time, but expect most of my posts to be about the Soulsborne series, and perhaps some Warcraft content too.

In the setting of the story in which he appears, I think he's dependent on the technology he brought with him. Eventually, he comes to understand the current cycle's technology, but even then, he's not a perfectly specialised engineer, and there are things he cannot recreate (for example, he would struggle with recreating his synthesised rations, since he's not specialised in chemistry).

Regarding something he has lost: well, everything. His family, his people, his planet, all his contemporaries. The Reapers took everything, and he knows —he knew, from the moment he accepted to be "sent" into the future generations— that he could never hope to have it back. Sometimes, he has indulged in projecting his own memories, envisioning them to submerge himself into that world that no longer exists for him.

If M were to play any video game console, which would she play? Are there any specific game genres or series that she would enjoy?

In the Mass Effect universe, I don't recall there being any mention of game consoles, where it seems the standard gaming platform is the Omni-tool; so, she'd most likely use that. However, if given the chance to use one from our time, I think she'd like a classic PlayStation 3 or other 7th gen console. She'd also like to try out current VR games, as well!

Regarding genres, she likes third-person shooters, puzzle games, and perhaps an MMORPG that caught her attention.

If Visenya had to plan a night out with Raime or with friends, what would she do? Would you like to accompany them?

In terms of 'nights out' and such things, Visenya would definitely prefer to keep things quiet. She dislikes noisy crowds and cramped up spaces, or at least can only handle them in small doses, so it would be rare for her to do something such as arrange a visit to a tavern on a busy night or gossiping with nobles in high society- and she isn't all that fond of drunkards or people who think themselves above all others.

She would keep things simple, doing activities most would see perhaps as mundane, with a small amount of people. Visenya is very fond of nature, so she would be more than happy to go for small walks in the nearby woods, gardens or quiet parts of/near the city, accompanied by her father, Luithien, Raime, Velstadt etc.. It's a peaceful time spent with those she is closest to. (And its something I myself would definitely join, if I had the chance)

Visenya is also a fan of card games- I can see her perhaps indulging some of the soldiers in a game or two if she can spare the time when she happens to pass by, and she's actually very good at them! She feels more at ease around them than nobility or strangers she has not met, so it would be easier for her to relax and be more carefree.

She is also happy to indulge in the interests of others of course, and will ensure that if she were to arrange to spend time with her loved ones that it would be doing something everyone got to enjoy.

idk how to explain it but im never truly comfortable with the way people insinuate that all older folks are inherently bigoted. it always feels like it kind of hand-waves away personal responsibility like ohhhh grandpa cant help homophobic, hes old. well ive met plenty of older folks who are normal about gay people. i think grandpa could be better. i think we should hold grandpa to higher standards.

I’m so sad knowing that what i’m gonna see in the Direct today is most likely ocarina of time remake. Cool game, good game, I really like it but oh my god OoT AGAIN??

I would rather have idk man spirit tracks remaster, even four swords, man even triforce heroes just anything but oot again. I hate TP glazers but even a TP remake would be better.

Any Visenya or RaimeSenya thoughts you'd like to share?

Thank you for the ask anon! I do indeed have many thoughts about Visenya and RaimeSenya both. Because I love them and they are very dear to me.

Today's RaimeSenya thought for you all is Raime has a lil keepsake box of things people have given to him- mostly Visenya of course. Favors she has made for him, small tokens of her affection, trinkets and such she saw that she thought he would like and even small notes or little letters she write for him. He keeps them all close at heart.

This is because, at least in my own interpretation of his backstory, he never had a lot to call his own when he was younger.

He had an early childhood of abuse and fled when he couldn't take it much longer, living on the streets for a long while. There was never really any time or place to have keepsakes or be given mementos by others when it feels the whole world was against him- survival was all that was really on his mind. It was only when he was conscripted into the King's Army and had later met Visenya and Vendrick that that really changed.

Though he would be very cautious at first, very wary. He would wonder why exactly he's been given these things or shown this kindness, probably thinking he is unworthy. Wonders what Visenya wants from him in return.

But Visenya is very patient and reassuring, and very gentle with him. To hear that she gives him these things simply because she wants to, because he deserves them.. it's something that confuses Raime for a long time. Despite that though he does keep everything that he's been given, even if it's something small or others would consider pointless.
