A/n: haven't written in a while so this was a fun way to get back into it, thanks for the request hope you like it!

(I set this in Metropolis before Lena moves and Lillian is arrested, it just made a bit more sense but it can be read as if it's in National City)

Standing at the bar, drink in hand, you look around the room. Businessmen in suits litter the room, women in dresses on their arms. The center of the room is mostly filled with couples dancing, tables of food lining the room. Lillian stands near the edge of the room talking to a well dressed man, no doubt another CEO. You scan the room till you spot Lena, standing across the room and talking to a stuffy looking older man.

You set your glass down on the bar before crossing the room, weaving around other people before arriving behind Lena. Brushing your hand across her lower back, you catch both of their attention.

“Sorry to intervene,” you smile at the older man, feeling Lena lean into your side. “Hope you don’t mind me stealing her for a dance?” He had barely shook his head when you swept Lena towards the center of the room. “You looked bored.” You chuckle, leading her into a slow dance.

“You have no idea,” Lena rolled her eyes, before scanning your outfit. “You clean up nicely.”

“You don’t look too bad either.” After a couple dances you glance toward Lillian, seeing her back to you as she talks with a group of people. “How about we get out of here?”

“What, now?”

“Yeah why not, Lillian isn’t looking.” Lena glances toward her mother before nodding to you. You grab her hand and lead her across the room and towards the exit. You get your guys coats while Lena keeps an eye on her mom. Coats in hand, you guys slip out the door and make your way down the street.

“Where are we going?” Lena asks, matching your pace as you walk towards the park.

“The park should be lit up with Christmas lights, figured we could go check it out? I know there's a little stand near the center that sells hot cocoa.” With Lena's nod of confirmation, you turn into the park entrance.

Paper cups of hot cocoa in hand, you make your way back to Lena who's watching the lights blink.

“Your cocoa madam,” you grin at Lena as she takes the cup.

“Why thank you,” Lena loops her arm through yours as you make your way along the path. Comfortable silence falls as you guys walk, occasionally sipping at your cups. You make your way around the center of the park, pointing out decorations that catch your eye. Cups finished, you notice that Lena is starting to shiver.

“Better get you home before you get a cold,” you tell Lena, gently leading her to the park exit.

“I’m not cold,” Lena complains, gritting her teeth to keep them from chattering.

“Uh huh,” you grin, unconvinced. “Better call your driver so he's at the exit when we get there.” Lena rolls her eyes but pulls out her phone, shooting a text to her driver.

“Happy now?”

“Yep,” popping the P as you toss your empty cups.

True to word, her driver was at the exit when you got there, before he can get out you open the door for Lena to step in. Taking the hand you held out for her, she kisses your cheek. “Thanks for the night.” She whispers, getting in the car and waving as she leaves.

You make your way back to the building the gala was in, getting in your car and heading home, Lena on your mind.

“Coffee for Y/n” a voice cuts through the chatter in the coffee shop, capturing your attention. Pocketing your phone, you weave through the crowd and take your coffee from the counter. Slipping money into the tip jar, you turn to leave while sipping from the hot cup.

Breaking from the crowd, you reach the door and open it. A tall redhead stands on the other side of the door, hand raised to open the door. Startled, you nearly drop your coffee as you move back. With some sloshing over the side and burning your hand, you apologize to the woman.

“Oh my gosh, I didn’t see you there!” You exclaim, moving out of the way. “I’m sorry.”

“That’s alright,” the woman smiles at you, holding open the door as you shake your burnt hand. “Are you okay?”

Looking into concerned eyes, you blush and wipe the coffee from your hand onto your pants. “Yeah, just a little burnt.”

“Can I have a look?” Noticing your sceptical look the woman rushes to explain. “I’m a doctor.”

“Well, I guess it couldn’t hurt,” You reply, looking at the woman in front of you. “Doctor…”

“Alex,” the woman- Alex- replies as you trail off.

You look in the mirror, turning side to side and looking at your outfit. Frowning, you start to doubt the decision to let your friend take you shopping. You drop your hands with a huff, unlocking the stall door and walking out to complain.

“Y/f/n, do you really think this color suits me? I’m starting to doubt your fashion taste.” You look around, realizing your friend isn’t sitting where you left them. In the corner are a couple, looking at you amusedly through the dressing room mirrors. Face heating up you look away, “Sorry, thought my friend was sitting out here.

“They wandered out a couple minutes ago,” the short brunette informed you. You couldn’t help but let your eyes wander over the pair of them. The one who talked was shorter of the two, with long brunette hair and tan skin, you could see her dimples pop out as she smiled at you.

The taller one turned towards you, brown eyes capturing your attention. “For what it’s worth, the color does suit you.”

“Thanks,” before you could say anything else a beeping from your changing room caught your attention. You retrieve your phone, a text from your friend lighting up the screen.

Y/f/n: Had something come up, sorry for disappearing on you

You: That's alright, you owe me tho

“Everything alright?” You turned back towards the couple who were looking at you curiously.

“Oh, yeah no worries. That would be my friend letting me know they left.” They nodded in response, looking back at each other briefly. “Well guess that means I’m free to leave my shopping prison,” you joke, closing your phone and turning towards the changing room.

“We were wondering,” The shorter woman started, pausing as you turned to look at her. “If you’d like to get coffee?”

“Not right now,” The taller one quickly added, wringing her hands. “Unless you want to then--” A hand on the arm from her -partner?- cut her off.

You look between the two, internally shrugging. “Yeah, that’d be fun.”

“Let me give you my number,” The shorter one suggested, holding her hand out for your phone. After giving it to her she quickly typed in her number, handing it back to you. Maggie was set as her contact name, you smiled as you took it from her.

“Good to have a name for the face,” saving the contact you turned back to the pair. “I’m Y/n.”

“Oh! Right,” the taller one blushed, “Alex, tha-that’s my name.”

Maggie looked at Alex, an amused glint in her eye. You smiled at them both, taking a step back. “Well I will text you, Maggie, and we can meet up sometime.”

Maggie bit her lip, dimples making an appearance as she smiled. “Sounds good.”

By the time you changed and left the dressing rooms, Maggie and Alex were nowhere to be seen.

Valentines Day Headcanons

A/n: Happy Valentines Day everyone, I haven’t posted in a while, sorry about that. I hope you guys like it, and feel free to talk to me through asks if you want ❤

Headcanons for Kara, Alex, Lena and Maggie

Kara

Would send cute texts during the day, hinting at her plans but refusing to tell you 

Has you dress in warm comfortable before blindfolding you and flying the both of you to the top of Catco

Sets you down and removes the blindfold to reveal a nest of blankets and pillows surrounded by fair lights

Brings out plates of your favorite food and a cake to share

Once you’re done eating she turns the fairy lights off and the two of you curl up in the blankets to stargaze

Falling asleep to her telling the story of different constellations, both from Earth and Krypton

Had texted you earlier in the day to dress nice

 A/n- I’m sorry this took so long, I wrote it 3 times cause I just wasn’t satisfied. This is my favorite version so I hope you like it!

Warnings: mild violence(?), some swearing

“Up the power by 5%” Lena called, not looking away from the portal. When nothing happened, she turned around to look at y/n. “Up the power please.”

“Are you sure? I mean, we’re already pretty high.” Y/n nervously looked at the portal in front of them, worried something bad was gonna happen.

“It’ll be fine,” Lena sent the (h/c) a reassuring smile before turning back around. There was a huff behind her before the portal became brighter with the power surge, Lena keeping an eye on the data rolling on her tablet. Distracted by the numbers, Lena didn’t notice the portal starting to glow alarmingly bright.

“Lena!” Y/n called out behind her, diving onto the brunette and covering her with their body as the portal lit up the room before shutting off. Groaning, Lena sat up as the body on top of her rolled off. 

“You okay, y/n?” Lena asked, rubbing the back of her head. When there wasn’t an answer, she turned to look at the slumped figure next to her. Reaching out to turn them over, Lena’s hand went right through their shoulder. Trying again, Lena was able to get a hold of Y/n’s shoulder and turned them over.

Their once (h/c) hair was now a silver color, skin pale as if dead. “Y/n? Answer me please!” Lena yelled, panic taking over. Not knowing what to do, Lena opened the face of her watch, pressing the little button hidden underneath. Lena checked their pulse as she waited for help to get there.

Shortly after she had pressed the button, there was a loud screeching sound as the reinforced door to her lab was ripped open and Kara, donned in her Super Suit, was rushing over to her. 

“Lena, are you ok? You pressed the button.” Kara rushed out, scanning her best friend for any visible injuries.

“I’m fine, but y/n isn’t.” Lena gestured to your prone body, hair still silver.

“Woah, what happened?” Kara asked as she crouched down next to both of you.

“We were working on a transmat portal when there was a power surge, they knocked me to the ground and covered me. When I got up they had silver hair and my hand passed through their shoulder.” Lena explained, hands hovering over your body.

“Ok, I’m gonna get them to Alex. Will you be ok?” Kara gathered you up in her arms, looking back at Lena as they both stood up.

“Yeah, I’ll be fine. I’ll meet you at the DEO.” Lena shooed Kara out of the lab, making sure everything was turned off before rushing out of L-corp.

Touching down in the DEO, Kara made her way to the medbay, calling out for Alex. Just as she set you down on a bed, Alex came bursting through the doors, eyes zeroing in on you. “What happened?” Alex asked as she washed her hands.

“Lab accident involving a transmat portal, Lena should be here soon.” Kara answered, eyes stuck on your unmoving figure. Alex had just finished attaching the monitors to you when the raven haired woman came through the doors.

“Oh good, you’re here.” Alex greeted as Lena shrugged off her coat, heading to the sink to wash her hands.

“I almost got a ticket,” Lena confessed breathlessly. “How are their vitals?” Whatever Alex said after that was lost on Kara, a ringing in her ears drowning out everything else. She couldn’t take her eyes off you, your pale body unmoving on the bed.

“Kara!” Alex's voice broke through the fuzz in her head, her sister’s worried eyes looking back at her. “You alright?”

“I can’t lose them Alex,” Kara whispered, vision fuzzy with tears. Alex crossed the room and pulled Kara into a hug, squeezing as hard as possible trying to ground her sister. Pulling back, Alex squeezed Kara’s shoulders as she ducked her head into Kara’s gaze.

“We’ll figure this out, ok? For now though, I need you to go home and get some rest. I’ll call you if anything happens, ok?” Knowing it was useless to argue, Kara nodded her head and left the medbay.

A few hours later, a few incidents where you almost floated away, you regaining your natural complexion and Alex finally called Kara back to the DEO. Kara, back in her normal clothes, rushed through the DEO and towards the medbay. Before she made it in she was stopped by Alex and Lena.

“Right now they're stable, but there are a few things you need to know before you go in.” Alex cautioned, looking towards Lena before continuing. “While you are in there they might get silver hair again, or float or you might not even be able to touch them. If that does happen, don’t freak out alright? It’s happened a few times over the last few hours.”

“What caused it?’ Kara asked, only knowing that it had to do with the portal you and Lena were working on.

“While we were working on the portal, it wasn’t calibrated right. So, when we put too much power into it it had a power surge. Instead of being calibrated to somewhere on Earth, it was a phantom realm. When that happened and they covered me, they got the brute force while I didn’t get anything.” Lena explained, hesitating before continuing her explanation. “Kara, they shouldn’t be alive, that blast combined with the ectoplasm they absorbed should have killed them.”

“What are you saying, are they a metahuman?” Kara asked, gaze bouncing between the two of them.

“We aren’t sure, that’s everything we know right now.” Alex answered, gesturing towards the medbay. “They appear to be healing quickly, so they might wake up soon.” At Kara’s thanks, Alex left down the hall, leaving her and Lena outside the medbay.

“Kara, I’m sorry. I was the one who told them to up the power, this wouldn’t have happened if I had listened when they warned me.” Lena confessed, avoiding eye contact with Kara. Instead of the yelling that she expected Kara just pulled her into a hug, hand resting on the back of Lena’s head.

“It’s not your fault Lee, you couldn’t have known that was gonna happen,” Kara whispered, resting her cheek on the top of Lena’s head. When Lena tried to protest, Kara just hugged her tighter, whispering that it was ok and that she wasn’t mad.

When Lena finally calmed down, Kara let her go. “Kar, what if Y/n blames me?” Lena asked, avoiding eye contact. Kara sighed, tapping Lena’s chin to make her look up. 

“They’re not gonna blame you, or be mad, alright? Everything will be fine.” Kara smiled as Lena nodded, giving her one last hug before pulling away. Kara was just about to enter the medbay when Lena’s quiet voice sounded from behind her.

“You’re in love with them, aren’t you?” Lena asked, giving a small smile when Kara nodded.  “You should tell them, I think they like you too.” Kara paused, before nodding again and entering the medbay.

Lena lingered outside the medbay, watching as Kara sat by your side. With a small smile, Lena nodded to herself before leaving.

A beeping sound cut through the darkness surrounding you, your right hand unusually heavy. Blearily opening your eyes, you squinted against the bright light above you. Lightly groaning, you turned to your right, smiling when you saw blonde hair spread over your lap and Kara’s hand in yours. Your shifting in the bed alerts Kara, her head springing up to look at you.

“Y/n?” Kara called softly, not sure if you were awake. A soft groan came from you before your eyelids started to flutter open. Kara worriedly watched as you opened your mouth to talk, opening a water bottle when you started to cough. Helping you to sit up, Kara held the water up to your lips and helped you to drink before setting it back down. “How are you?”

You squeezed Kara’s hand before answering, voice rough from not using it. “I feel alright, a little sore. What happened?”

“There was an accident at the lab,” Kara answered, grabbing your hand. “The portal had a power surge, it should have killed you but didn’t. I was so worried, I came into the lab and you were passed out on the floor. I could have lost you,” Kara’s voice choked out as she started crying, head bowed and resting by your thigh.

You stroked her hair, murmuring reassurances until she stopped crying. When she lifted her head she had an indecipherable look in her eye. Before you could ask what was wrong she was standing and cupping your face in her hand.

“I’m in love with you, y/n. I have been for a while but I was too scared to say anything but when I saw you laying on the ground you were so pale and I thought you had died. I thought I had lost my chance to tell you but you're ok and I can tell you now, I understand if you don’t like me like that though. I don’t want to make you uncomfortable or anything but I couldn’t not tell you and-” you cut her off, pulling her down into a kiss. After a moment's hesitation she started kissing you back, her hands sliding up to tangle in your hair. Pulling away breathlessly, you pressed your forehead into hers.

“I love you too,” you whispered, rubbing your nose against hers. Kara leaned into you, smiling so hard her kiss was all teeth. Before you could kiss her properly, Alex was in the doorway clearing her throat.

“Hate to interrupt but you were supposed to tell me when she woke up Kara,” Alex glared at Kara before moving over to your monitor, checking your vitals. Kara kissed you quickly before sliding off the bed and back into her chair.

“Sorry Al, got carried away.” Kara explained sheepishly.

“I saw that,” Alex deadpanned before starting to explain the effects of the ectoplasm you absorbed and the powers it gave you.

You soared above the skyline, catching up to Kara to help with a robbery. In the five months since you got your powers you worked with the DEO to get a handle on them, mastered them, made your first crime fighting appearance and Catco named you the Silver Phantom. The comm in your ear crackled to life, Kara’s voice coming through.

“We got a runner in the alley across the bank, Y/n.” 

“Alright, you got the others?”

“Yeah, be safe.”

“Back at ya babe.”

Going invisible, you floated over the alley and dropped in behind the guy. When he realized he turned into a dead end, he turned around to backtrace. Before he could move you became solid, grinning at the surprised look on his face.

“What’s the matter? You look like you’ve seen a ghost.”

And it was all caused because Kara was exposed to some different form of Kryptonite, so it won’t wear off for a few weeks. Now, Kara has to live Kate’s darker life and fill in as Batwoman with her usual cheery disposition. And Kate gets to be Supergirl and pretend to the cheery and girly Kara.
