one of my favourite human songs-and-dances is when someone notices someone else is lying and, for no particular reason besides love of the game, helps them get away with the lie without ever explicitly acknowledging they noticed. nightmare social animals.
Aight I finally beat the pink colored enemy and here’s the tip that helped me with the bomb attack:
-Pick a lower place
-Is there a bomb below/above in my column? Move right
-Is there a bomb to my left/right in my row? Move up
Did this actually help me? Perhaps. Beat it first try once I started thinking that way, but I still ate plenty bombs so who knows. The pink enemy tends to throw the bombs right on top of you and it hurts to touch them even if they haven’t exploded so it’s painful anyway, defending is probably the only thing that helps.
Much more importantly though: it’s nearly always generic attack -> bomb attack -> generic attack -> bomb attack. So if the pink enemy just did an easier attack, then heal/defend because the bombs are coming. It’s ok because you’ll just charge the Giga Act faster which makes it feel like you didn’t waste a turn anyway.
I also only packed the item that heals all party members, so pretty much always Kris would defend or mega/giga act, Susie would defend or heal everyone, and Ralsei would always Lovely Boy or defend or heal or even Mega Act (around 60 max tp you might as well defend anyway instead of spamming Lovely Boy further, specially if the bombs are coming)
Whatup everyone, back at it again with this Ariabl'eyeS album from the recent M3-57. One thing I find pretty cool about this one is that the instrumentals are included on the actual disc, usually instrumentals would be a pre-order bonus which was lame. Also even though Luna is still around this marks the first time (I think?) in which the track with two vocalists features neither her nor Rena, instead the track that's eponymous with the album features both Ruru and Yuzuki Risa on it. All in all, I rather liked it??? The highs aren't very high but the story is pretty fun and the lows are rather high, a really solid listen all throughout.
This album also doesn't seem like it's going to be a two-parter, seems pretty conclusive to me imo, but who knows. The album is fully available on streaming platforms already so there's no excuses. Also on a completely unrelated note my lovely friend Aurora recently covered Ariabl's Romanesque Romancia, maybe check her out. Anyway, lyrics are below the cut, see you all next time!

Turning to ashes in the name of love until the new moon dawns
The boulder pushing punishment is iconic. But I think more people should know the reason Sisyphus was punished to begin with, which was for cheating death, twice.
The first time he cheated death, Sisyphus had just angered Zeus by revealing the location of the Asopid Aegina whom Zeus abducted. Which is super valid, fuck Zeus.
Sisyphus knew that Zeus would send the god of death Thanatos after him, so he prepared a trap and trapped Thanatos in the chains meant for him.
After that, nothing on Earth was able to die so long as Thanatos was in chains. Which meant no animals could be sacrificed to the gods. This angered the gods, who made Sisyphus' life so miserable with pain and illness that he would beg for death. And so he released Thanatos.
But then came the second time Sisyphus cheated death. As he was dying, he asked his wife to dump his naked corpse in the middle of the public square. Denied a proper burial, his soul ended up on the far side of the river Styx, unable to cross.
He complained to Hades and Persephone about how his wife disrespected him, and begged them to let him return briefly to the world of the living to scold her and make her bury him properly. They agreed, and Sisyphus returned to life. He then embraced his wife, and refused to return to the Underworld.
It's only when he finally died of old age that he was sent to Tartarus and punished with the boulder.
I don't remember where I've seen it, but I like the interpretation that Sisyphus doesn't have to push the boulder. He can choose to stay in Tartarus and rest. But he was promised that if he managed to push the boulder to the top of the mountain, he'll ascend to Elysium.
And Sisyphus, in his stubbornness and cleverness, refuses to give up on a challenge.
One must indeed imagine Sisyphus happy, planning and scheming about how he'll cheat the gods next.
