Sherlock has since passed on at the age of 9.2 as he had a ruptured spleen & hemangiosarcoma, which couldn't be prevented and we put him down within 12 hours of finding out something was wrong. He went peacefully surrounded by people he loved and with as little pain as possible. He was my best friend and helped me deeply through my teen years, I have many regrets about the way I handled his training but he was such a good dog until the very end and my soul dog. He may have been phased out of training at a year old due to some concerns about reactions to stimuli, but he was a perfect emotional support dog from home. His journey may have ended, but I will be keeping this blog up so I can keep his memory alive and look back on how we grew together.
