the tea is that beau makes mitch inmensely happy. beau understands him, loves him for what he is, he respects mitch’s introvertedness and his quirky fashion sense (and has a quite quirky fashion sense himself). he supports mitch’s career and is not afraid to verbalize how much he loves him, and how proud he is of him. he’s made efforts to get along with the band and he’s good friends with scott. he’s nice and open to the fandom even though he constantly has to endure people critizicing him just because he’s dating mitch. he even wrote a public long apology for some old racists tweets he wrote when he was a teenager.

and it’s no secret that mitch loves him too. even though he’s known for being a reserved person when it comes to relationships/friendships, he publicy states his love for beau and posts a great amount of photos where they’re very physically affectionate. he’s radiant and happy when he’s around him and anyone can tell how comfortable he feels around him and his family. hell, the fact that this is the first time mitch has been this public about his love life in YEARS should tell you everything.

you can dislike beau all you want, but there’s no denying that they make each other very happy and mitch cares deeply about beau, and therefore you shouldn’t even attempt to brush beau off as a seasonal boyfriend or imply toxic behaviours from beau to mitch (especially if you do it because you’d prefer mitch to date someone else). mitch has already said he hates when people unfollow him whenever he posts pictures of them together. if you’d really care about mitch and his happiness, you would at least shut up about your bad feelings and thoughts about beau and their relationship. beau is as important as pentatonix or his family to mitch, and you should treat him as such. it costs nothing to shut up and be nice about someone who makes mitch really happy!!!
