Bogie has lived in 3 cities, Dia has moved 3 times, we've lost friends and loved ones, found new hope, been crushed into pieces by the encroaching darkness in the world, and found new hope again. We hope this music finds a home in your hearts and minds. We hope that is serves, in some small way, to inspire us to get up and keep fighting the good fight in our personal lives, and our collective lives around the globe.
Brooklyn's Superhuman Happiness, the project of saxophonist Stuart Bogie (who plays with Arcade Fire, is a member of Antibalas, and more), released Escape Velocity last year and now they're working on a new LP. While we wait for more details on that, they've got a new single called Powermasters premiering in this post...

For the inaugural edition of Liner Notes, Milq's playlists where artists premiere and tell us the stories behind their new work, we're so excited to feature the “Drawing Lines" video from Stuart Bogie’s band Superhuman Happiness. You’ve heard Bogie before—whether playing saxophone on stage with Arcade Fire, Iron and Wine, and Antibalas, or contributing his stellar instrumentation to recordings by TV on the Radio, David Byrne, and Sharon Van Etten. In helming Superhuman Happiness, Bogie's ever-evolving songwriting project, he delivers a clear message: Music should inspire joy—and plenty of dancing. Back in the day, SH members Stuart Bogie and Eric Biondo played in the band Antibalas and this is a fun little clip from a show in Europe. This Wednesday, Nov 11th, Bogie and Biondo will once again take the stage with Anitbalas when Superhuman Happiness opens the show at Brooklyn Bowl! Get there early to catch us do our thing. We hit at 8pm. Great food served there, as well. Special guest for Antibalas will be Santigold! This is going to be a one-of-a-kind night of music.
Burlington is a special place for our musical family - we love it there! from our our friends at Radio Bean to Tim and the crew at Coldwater Contracting, we meet genuine people living lives of joy. Burlington is the best. Love!
