Did you know that Mina was almost the seventh member of the Stardust Crusaders? Araki almost agreed to have her be in the David’s Production’s anime! He just forgot to sign the paperwork. Don’t worry, that’s why I stepped up to the challenge 🫡

Mina Park and her Stand Supernova is inspired by æspa's "Supernova." I grew up during the 2nd gen golden era of kpop, so it only seemed natural to use it as my muse here.

Family and Youth

Mina is a first generation Korean-Japanese girl, born to her Korean immigrant parents in Yokohama, Japan. Despite her parents giving her a Japanese name, Mina pushes against the strict Japanese society expectations and likes to go by her family's Korean name instead.

Unfortunately her parents were never really interested in having a kid, but kept her out of obligation and fear of neighborhood gossip. Mina's father is poor with his finances and loves to gamble while also operating an import/export business. Mina's mother has a drinking problem and an apathetic view on her responsibilities. As Mina grew up, they realized her ability to be perfectly fluent in Japanese is an asset and Mina ended up helping her father close business deals at various docks on his behalf. Funnily enough, including schooling, Yokohama having ports and an American military base not too far off, has also helped Mina learn to speak English over time.

Mina has a love and passion for dance. As Mina also got older, she found the stuffy rules of school and xenophobic bullying exhausting, so she would often skip school and hang out with the street dancers in the lively, cultural hub that is Yokohama. Mina loves to explore Western music, always on the hunt for the next song with a strong beat to dance to.

Awakening Supernova

At age 14, Mina awakens her Stand after being cornered by bullies after school. When one bully goes to punch her, Supernova caught the bully's fist and used the same force the bully used back onto the group of bullies in a bright flash of light and force and scared them off. Mina had no idea about Stands and thinking she was being haunted by a space alien, no one would believe her if she explained it. But given that this alien had always protected her, she was grateful for it and felt a little less alone when life got hard. Mina names her Stand herself a few weeks after awakening it, calling it Supernova for its graceful, alien-like look and its attacks looking like supernovas.

How She Joins the Stardust Crusaders

Since she skips school anyway, her father says she needs to earn her keep and is sent out to Singapore to close out a deal with another shady business man. But when handing over the cash, instead of giving Mina the product her father is owed, the man takes off running with the money! Mina takes off after him, weaving through crowds and alleyways to catch him. But at the exact same time this is unfolding, the Stardust Crusaders are running after another Enemy Stand User. Mina rounds a corner and runs right into the stand user, Supernova is quick to appear, catch the man and uses all that force he ran into Supernova with, and blast him through a shop window.

This is a huge favor for the Stardust Crusaders, but they are hesitant to find another stand user that will take down DIO's minions out of no where. In all the shuffle, Mina lost sight of her man and she is livid. Mina now doesn't have enough cash to follow the man to the Red Sea, let alone catch a flight back home.

Realizing this is just a teenaged girl, Joseph feels bad for a her to be left stranded. But he is also seeing an opportunity for some more help, and offers her to tag along as they are also heading for the Red Sea. Mina is eager to take the offer, regardless of how foolish joining 5 strange men is, because she is dead set on getting her father's money back. Learning that many people also have protective aliens, learning how to use her own, and fighting other bad guys with secret aliens is all a small price to pay for a free ride to her goal.

Thereafter, over the next 40-something days she gets herself a found family, and learning her own strength, she gets her father's money back, sending it back home via courier alone. Because now Joseph and Jotaro's burden to save Holly is her burden now, too, and she is dead set on a new goal: defeat DIO.

Found a sketched comic I made who-knows-how-many-months-ago.

Featuring original characters Jessica Crowe, Rees MacIntosh and my version of an older Phone Guy named Sam Guang as general manager of the location (inspiration from pibmo’s PG designs).

Rees is careless of any haunting legends that still linger around the pizzeria chain, only to take the job to get closer to party hostess Jessica. Sam, still cheerful and nervous, chews the newbie out for his recklessness… but, y’know, still reminds him there is really no danger in the night shift.

Oldie but goodie? Drawing FN@F stuff has always flowed well for me in my ambitions. That perspective? A scene with a TV and desk? Just because I had an idea 7 years ago? Work. I just gotta keep practicing!

The best part of creating an older Rees is the fact I researched photos of elder emo's fashions. One parent should probably have glasses, but I hate drawing glasses. Full stop. Checkered Vans probably won't stay for the same reason, but the concept it cool.

Do you think this old night guard has what it takes to save his daughter Vanessa? Not just from Fazbear Entertainment, but also from the evil entity that resides in her?

I doubt I will ever finish these (I must admit, I was pretty ambitious with these) and to not let them go to waste, I must share them. What's the point of having ideas if not to share them as desired?

After talking to my loved ones 4 years ago over how much Vanessa looked like my fancharacter Jessica, my now-husband (then boyfriend) said, "What if that is her daughter?" I absolutely dismissed it... but it always stuck in the back of my mind until I kinda... liked it? I am so far off-base with my fancharacters from current FNAF lore, I do what I want!! SO WHAT IF VANESSA IS JESSICA AND REES'S DAUGHTER?? Rees's relatives are light-haired, after all.

This does mean that Rees and Jessica can never escape Fazbear, and in fact, their only kid gets deeply lost within the corrupt corporation. But it is oddly fitting to become a security guard like her father did many, many decades ago. I like to think his papa bear instincts, knowledge of Fazbear Entertainment and his overwhelming hatred for them gets him involved again to save his daughter. Smells like a cool fanfiction to write.

OTP: Skye x Corporal Betsy

Taking a page from @Nero-Arts OTP works, I started to ponder who Skye (my Courier 6) could be shippable with. I’ve only come to like her with two people, one being Corporal Betsy.

Skye being charming enough to get past the skill check, she plays well off her sarcasm and deadpan humor. I feel Skye’s patience and understanding can bring out the more kindhearted nature of Betsy, perhaps even comforting her in her troubles, giving the two a strong personal connection. Although I don’t see their relationship lasting much more than that fling at Betsy’s leave, as I don’t think Betsy is the committal type, breaking the Courier’s heart. (But it’s a nice bit of drama to write if they ever meet again!)

Old picture that had sat in my ProCreate for over a year.

I love Night 1, I love the editor crew, I love Tomoe Hirasaka... and I love pondering the idea of how gory this game could be if they went through with their original ideas during development. I like how Kizuna Himuro had detached limbs in FF3, and I wish they did that in the original, too.

Fun fact: I sketched and colored both at the same time! Just swapped layers back and forth.

I'm old enough to remember when "memes" were little drawing challenges from deviantART.

Thank you @sassymelvin for posting this in the community I lurk in and sparked me the inspiration to try it with Maria. I am proud I committed to it, and I enjoyed it. Some designs I already had, but I enjoyed plotting where she would fit in these other alternative realities.

She does smile sometimes, I promise. I haven't unlocked her happy part of the plot yet.

1991 called. It's asking, "how is your family doing now, Commander?"

Diane is 15 here, with her younger brother Owen, her father Percy and her mother Adriene. The last family photos before they all fell apart. Although Percy looks intimidating, Adriene is really the powerful one in the family. The Whittakers have all the connections from the top brass of military and politicians through Percy, and richest of the rich business contacts from Adriene. And for that, Adriene is always trying to portray the ideal family to keep up with the Joneses. Owen here is tired of standing still and looking pretty for a picture, so staring into the abyss is the best the Whittakers can get him to behave for a photo.

To answer 1991's question: They are almost all certainly dead. Percy died in 1993 of pancreatic cancer, Adriene would be 96 in 2055 and Owen has either been turned to goo from the Elder's gene therapy clinic because he is simply related to the Commander, executed for simply being related to the Commander, ... or in stasis somewhere for... simply being related... to the Commander.... Yikes.... I want to throw a shout out for the Sims for always being a great tool for me to build characters before I draw them lmao
