a rough chuckle forced its way from the test subjects throat, and in an act of something even she didn’t know ( defiance?? boredom?? ), she paused briefly at the exit. Her hand on the door frame and a SMILE still on her lips, Chell glanced up at the camera above

Excuses. He was making excuses?!? No. He did not really expect to waltz back into her life just like that. Chell was aware that the core wasn’t the most delicate person when it came to handling feelings, well aware of it. But he hadn’t even said ‘sorry’. He had made the HUGE mistake of starting off with something akin to ‘it wasn’t really my fault.’ That was far too much for the betrayed woman to handle.

She lashed out, slamming her fist into his nose. She’d probably fractured her wrist doing so, but the pain was masked by adrenaline and blind fury, and the thought of how he totally deserved that.

“Ow! Ow! Alright, I deserved that, yes. BUT now that you’ve gotten that out of your system, I can finish what I was trying to say,” he grunted out, holding his nose that was leaking a oily, pale blue substance.

He held his sleeve up his nostrils and let out a little whine as he peeked out at her again through his fingers. “I just... I understand why you’re angry. And I wanted to say: I’m sorry.”
