I hate to have to come to terms with this. But I really tried to keep to my promises of writing those stories but I kept hitting a writers block. I kept hitting a wall and couldn't break it down. It's been a few years and I can't get a single story written. It can be too much on my plate, it can be burn out, it can be a number of things. I think, I'll have to 'retire' from this for now. At least until I can finish a fiction or story. I'll keep this blog and my other one active, I'll still be on Tumblr, looking at artwork and reading fan fiction, I just don't have anything good to post you in the way of stories that involve Sam and Dean, Din Djarin of The Mandalorian, Assassin's Creed Odyssey, or any obsession or hyperfixation I get absorbed in and try to turn it into a fan fiction.
As the boys say, this isn't goodbye, it's just a goodbye for now.

Just wanted to spread this news for people who don't know the new Tumblr updates that have to do with tagging on posts, both for user tag lists and for descriptive hashtags to help people find your post. I've had to learn them the hard way. 😅
User Tagging:
This first part is for people who have tag lists. Tumblr has recently changed the rules on tagging other blogs/users on a post.
You can still tag up to 50 blogs per post, but they must be spread out into groups of 5. Otherwise, the blog won't be highlighted/tagged and the person will not be notified.

Notice that only the first 5 blogs in each section are actually tagged.
Also something important to note: copy/pasting a tag list alone often isn't enough. After I copy over a tag list from another post, I always have to click on each blog name individually to select the blog and make sure it's tagged properly, so people get notified.
Trust me, I get why some writers have decided to ditch tag lists altogether. They can be tricky. 😂
Hashtags on Posts:
As most of you guys know, hashtags help people find your post. The limit of how many tags you can use has bumped up to 30 tags.
Now, this doesn't mean you have to use all 30 slots. But using the most popular tags will increase the likelihood that people will find your post.
By no means am I an expert on this, but I've been reading a lot of stories that should have SO many more reblogs, comments, etc. If some of them were using a few more key tags, they'd likely be getting much more traffic and notes on them.
Want to find out which hashtags are the most popular, relevant to your post?
Well, you can actually search them in the Your Tags tab, Tags You Follow, and go to Manage:
For Dean Winchester fanfiction, for example, here are the tags I use most often:
Ignore the first and last tags, which are just for me to organize the post for my blog. But I would say the most important tags here are the first few:
[character's full name]
[character's full name] x reader or [character's full name] x oc
fandom name
These three are absolutely key for any romance pairing fanfiction post, in my opinion.
Aside from being the most relevant for a pairing fanfic, these are often the most popular tags overall, as they are the tags with a high follower count. The rest can also be important supplemental hashtags relevant to the post.
You can also just start typing into this bar in your post draft and see what "popular tag" recommendations Tumblr gives you:

To piggyback off this since I was a person who once did tag lists and no longer does/never will again, tumblr doing stuff like this is why content creators end up stopping doing them. Manually tagging a bunch of blogs that never interact with the post in the first place is time consuming so please be understanding if your favorite blogs do move away from them.
An alternative to taglists which I've found helpful is to set up a side blog that is only for your content related posts where you can reblog posts made on your main blog. Users can set up notifications for that side blog specifically so it works in a way like a tag list!

A new fandom is...well not the whole fandom...
I recently got into The Mandalorian on Disney+ and it's all because I'm obsessed with Pedro Pascal. I've been hearing a lot about him since the start of the series in 2019 and I just now got curious. I'm not a big Star Wars fan, still not because I don't intend on watching the movies and other shows. Just Mando. I like my Mando.

So needless to say there's going to be some Mandalorian fan fics in the works. I have a series in mind that is similar to Down the Rabbit Hole but more...Spacey.
Through the Worm Hole.
It's kind of inspired by a crap ton of shit I've watched and read over the years of my life. In Space with Markiplier being a big one. No Man's Sky. Just for it's concept of Black Holes being portals. And this, The Mandalorian and the Book of Bobba Fett, it just fits.
So as I write that up there won't be too much new content, maybe some random ones like the "Wanna hear a Joke" I posted a month ago.
I've been reading a lot of Din x Reader fics, and it got the writing juices boiling and flowing again, so...just a heads up if anything is to come of this.
I have yet to see the Last of Us, it doesn't help that I still remember the god damn video game. And, I just saw major spoilers in the video games sequel. Poor Pedro just can't catch a break from getting killed off. Unless they change it and put Joel in a coma and Ellie still goes on her murder rampage to avenge Joel. One can only hope.
Sorry for those spoilers, but it shouldn't come as a surprise when he shoots up a hospital full of firefly assholes. Someone is going to be pissed and out for blood.
Anyway, that's the update. Hope you all are doing well, staying safe and healthy. Take care of yourselves. <3

Hey guys, so, I know I've been absent this entire year...and last year...just been busy working my day job and writing in my spare time. It's taking a while but I think I finally got an Idea for Down the Rabbit Hole but I'm in a creative snag. And it could be two possible versions....a reader insert, you know the y/n variant. Or the OC!Reader. Last time, the original had my name in place of OC!Reader. Then later on as I wrote more and more, different fictions, extending the Down the Rabbit Hole story, I merged into a reader insert. There was so much happening in the original, it made me gag. That's why I'm redoing it. Plus, the smut was rushed and way too unrealistic. ANYWAYS!
I also spontaneously did some Text style "fictions". One with implied smut, one fluff with a teen!reader, teen!daughter!reader, Dean x Daughter!reader. I might be working on other fictions, once I'm really proud of one, I'll give ya'll a forewarning so you can mark your calendars, clear you day to sit and read a small blurb.
I've been hand writing them, the Down the Rabbit Hole drafts just so I have an Idea of what I want in it and see how far I get with that. If I can get past the first five, six or even eight seasons, I'll probably start typing it out. I'll have a separate masterlist for any OC!Reader inserts just so there's some...clarity? I don't know. There is such a thing as being too organized...I hope I'm not doing that to ya'll.
Nothing new has happened to me other than, I'm trying to accept and learn more about myself, my Autism, ADHD, and other "possible disorders" that make me...me. And I want to do it without feeling obligated to post on here. It's very personal, and I like to keep that stuff to myself. But I'll use some aspect of it in my writing to show no one is in this fight alone. And I'll even enlighten with some research, experiences of my own when it comes to having a neurodivergent brain.
Enough rambling, be on the look out for those two text "fictions" I might try to post them tonight or tomorrow afternoon Central Standard Time. Like around 4pm cst.
