Over 90% of parents of visibly intersex children opt for cosmetic surgery on their infants.

The ones that don't experience medical violence then, likely experience it as a teenager.

I didn't.

I am very rare in that I did not experience medical violence.

Why? Because I learned what intersexuality was as a young age, and I actively fought against what doctors wanted to do to me. All the way down to legal research on what medical care minors can be forced into. I remember walking into that doctor's appointment with the state law written down that proved that if I did not consent they could not do surgery.

That is why intersex activism is important. It saved me and it will save more.

Here is my custom Skeletor Monster High doll, reimagined in how I would have done it. She uses a resin recast of Symphanee Midnight's skull and face, placed on a Colour Me Creepy Sea Monster body and her hands/accessories are all factory seconds I repainted to bring out detail. Her snood was hand sewn by me and her shorts are Alwayz Bratz Jade's.

The only thing I didn't manage to get is the staff that goes with the skull accessory so I just yanked a handbag handle and glued it on to make it a sassy handbag for her.

I ama bit sad I missed out of the official Skeletor but having my own take on her has been really fun to do since I go to experiment with things like embedding the skull in a resin cast as well as bringing out all the detailing in her accessories.
