It's a short stack, but it represents a lot of reading! It is thirty-one novellas and a fun, quirky read. The Shadowhunter's Codex was a lot of fun to read, as it's full of handwritten notes from our favorite New York Shadowhunters. The novellas fill in so much back story in this world I love so much. Jem's time as a Silent Brother, more of Magnus Bane's backstory, and Simon's time in the Shadowhunter Academy. Baby girl completed her first on stage weekend with the drama club. She was stage crew last year, but played Susan in this year's High School Musical. She was amazing, and only some of that is parent bias. She loves dancing and being extra, so she was made for this! I'm so proud of her, and all of these kids involved with the show. It's about a YouTube star who flips houses. Buys, remodels, sells. Then she meets the world's sweetest landscaper, complete with goofy dog. Remodel hijinks, hard luck characters who need a good thing, a super sunshine male lead, all on a brutal schedule. This book. I'm so glad I went back for a reread of Ninth House before diving in to Hell Bent, there are a lot of little details I had forgotten. The rabbit on the cover was a bit weird for me, but it makes sense in the end. Watching Galaxy Stern embrace who she is, fight against her past, and demand what she wants from the universe, it made for a wild ride.
