I know many people might not like it, but I wish Citra and Rowan never got romantic. I know it’s like a large drive in the plot and story but it feels so forced in the end, ya know? They didn’t nearly have enough chemistry throughout the books. I think the most they ever had was in Scythe when they trained side-by-side with Faraday. After Rowan gets broken by Goddard and Citra prospers, that’s where their paths forever separate. 

So here me out.

Wouldn’t it kind have been a cool dynamic if they became enemies? Scythe Anastasia being a good scythe while Scythe Lucifer killing bad ones? They become opposites. I think it would have been way more interesting for Scythe Anastasia to take up Constantine’s roll of hunting down Lucifer in Thunderhead. It would have more a natural and dramatic flow with their characters and relationships. 

I don’t know, that’s just my opinion. What do you guys think?

I had hopes that I would enjoy Thunderhead, which is the second book in the ARC OF A SCYTHE series. I ended up marking Thunderhead as a Did Not Finish, unfortunately. . Onto the next I suppose! Just finished Thunderhead! My, my, this Arc of a Scythe series is thrilling so far. It offered both philosophical questions on morality and mortality as well as the addicting drama and twisting plotline that everyone loves. Highly recommend, and I look forward to reading more by Neal Shusterman!
