Visiting the various temples was a top priority on my list of things to do. The temples are huge, with many smaller structures surrounding them. This one in particular is Wat Pho, also known as the the Temple of the Reclining Buddha. —— Also, it was extremely hot but you need to make sure you’re covered up (shoulders/legs) while in the temples. You have to take off your shoes as well. this has been one of my most carefree vacations as far as preparation goes. Usually I’m freaking out about what to pack/is my suitcase too heavy (because I always wait 6-24 hours before my flight to do so), what I’m going to do with my hair (protective styles/braids on vacation reign supreme) and what I’m going to do once i get there (i make a collaborative itinerary for each trip with all info/activities)...but for this trip, I just let whatever happens, happen and it’s been a great decision so far.
