Fiona had the makings of a good queen . . . because no ever ever cared that she used her powers for her own selfish gain. no , no , the murder and the selfish use of magic is obviously universal — they cared that she didn't have a sense of responsibility to the coven. but why ? because what mattered to Fiona more than anything is to be eternally beautiful and powerful forever. however , to say that Fiona didn't care at all would be entirely false. I think Fiona purposely left and isolated herself from her fellow sisters young , because she hated them all when they were young. they did used to torment Fiona when they were children until she became so bitter and mean everyone steered clear of her if they could help it.

truly , they were awful to Fiona. by the time Anna Leigh began forming her little group of proteges , it was too late for Fiona to care about being liked or fitting in. her heart was already walled off and unavailable for anything , even friendship. the things she endured as a child behind the backs of the adults are gruesome, honestly. every girl at that school was testing the boundaries of what they could get away with and their own abilities. the older girls of their generation were genuine psychopaths.

the things they did to Fiona and the others just swept under the rug. Fiona is far too petty to ever forget a single thing and will hold it against EVERYONE’S head forever.

Fiona's appeal to her base emotions misses a step, and the witch in red knows not whether she is grateful for such an omission... or saddened by how quickly her own heart leapt to fill such a lapse.

To be tested, as they had tested her, time and time again was surely cause for recompense; a stronger hand than had been wielded before. To strike even one of these frightened men down would cast a boulder into still waters and e'er give immutable notice to any — ALL who'd even dare consider standing opposite her.

It would be 'fair'. A balancing of the scales, as it were... but what Fiona missed, perhaps on purpose?, is how easy it would be. How simple to let the grip on her arm take root, and guide her swing through the heaven's latest catch.

these men hiding behind their hunting tools and their weapons every last one of them created and blessed with the intent to put yet another one of them six feet. six feet deep for the crime of being a witch — oh , how we have always suffered. blatant , naked fear could not be hidden even behind the masks obscuring half of their faces.

the eyes of a man cannot lie to them. these witchy , witchy eyes see through all their unearned arrogance. the useless nature of men to fear the axe and the woman for her physical form — her pure animal magnetism bred into this blade honed body of the Amazon. and yet , it is the Amazon they should be least wary of present. the youth of Fiona lends to their near dismissal of her. the supreme witch supple and beautiful as freshly flowered earth is but a girl. do they fear the tiger stalking their midst? or itty - bitty , tiny , harmless Fiona?

the hand of Diana is firm with the burning icor blood of the gods , but her arm — though tense — is still. the wrath of the hero has been stayed by the pure heart of her person hood.

and Fiona — Fiona is the devil.

shall she perch here on the shoulder of mercy and whisper temptations of retribution? is that not divine right? the right to enact vengeance when wronged? sharp claws pink as conch pearls sparkle as they spread wide , dancing spindly fingers reaching out for the Amazon’s darkened visage. the pain that Diana cannot hide from the all-seeing eye of Fiona shone bright in crystal blue eyes. the witch slipped deftly into the tall sister's personal space lead by the lips.

❝ these eyes of yours . . . you see them , don't you? the spirits of our sisters wailing? ❞ Fiona draws up to the tips of her toes that she may speak close intimately with the other witch , just the two of them able to hear her low utterings. Fiona is cunning. Fiona is shameless. Fiona positions herself behind the very broad , strong form of the Amazon as though she was a helpless thing. the sweet , naive Diana as immovable as a wall is a protector at heart. could Diana truly allow them to kill another of them?

would she allow them to kill her? Fiona of stardust and ozone forcing the world into its place where it will revolve around the witch-queen. the dark star greedy as an endless vacuum pulling and clawing at love and favor and power. the supreme is delicate with her claws curling under the Amazon's chin.

❝ they come for us still bathed in their blood, ❞ fevered whispering , lips drawn back into a snarl , she is bloodthirsty and she is ugly with the fury boiling her blood. the supreme in all her calm , collected elegance shows a crack in her demeanor. how kind of Fiona — ❝ in the name of the supreme , I condemn these foul , gutless worms to whatever hell awaits them. Diana , sister , will you enact my sentence? ❞ — to shoulder the burden of murder and guilt with her judgement. the first truly queenly action she's ever taken , and it's still for not but her own vaulting selfishness.

that hand of hers drifts back down her to brush against pulse thundering in Diana's wrist and Fiona pets her forearm affectionately. she has never been disobeyed; and thus , believes without end that her gravitus is a match even for the sun that is Diana. delusional.
