            Ah, post-coital corpse disposal. Klaus knew her kinks. “We’ll stuff the body in the trunk and head over to the untraceable car stashed across town. There’s an abandoned dry well on the way out of town that’s perfect.”

            Klaus frowned, “It’s a might risky, love. That’s a lot of time spent driving about with a dead body.”

            Caroline laughed, blue eyes twinkling as she replied, “Oh please. The number of times I’ve been pulled over with a body in the trunk. Well, three bodies that one time,” she mused nostalgically.

Welcome to Klaroline Fanfic Week!

About our event:

Hey guys! We’re doing a Klaroline fanfic event for July 2026! Each week in July will be a different theme and you can create as many Klaroline works as you’d like (fics, one-shots, drabbles, a few paragraphs, entire WIP chapters, aesthetics/mood boards, art, etc.) for each theme.

Week 1 [July 1-July 5, 2026] – Canonish: We’re looking for Klaroline-centric works that operate within canon — sort of. Have you always wanted to fix the irritating things that canon got wrong? Or, maybe show that conversation or scene that canon selfishly denied us? Here’s your chance!

Week 2 [July 6-July 12, 2026] – Historical: We’re looking for Klaroline-centric works set in a historical time period. Human, supernatural or something in between — just put Klaroline in any time period you find fascinating! 

Week 3 [July 13-July 19, 2026] – Crime: We’re looking for Klaroline-centric works that feature criminal and/or law enforcement elements like mafia, spies, courtroom, murder mystery, grifters, prison, etc.

Week 4 [July 20-July 26, 2026] – Science fiction: We’re looking for Klaroline-centric works with science fiction elements. Time travel, aliens, space travel, insidious AI or other diabolical technology, futuristic, dystopian, genetic experiments, etc. — pick any kind of sci-fi you like and put a Klaroline twist on it!

Week 5 [July 27-July 31, 2026] – Soulmates: We’re looking for Klaroline-centric works about soulmates. Do they have soul marks, share thoughts or injuries? Were they fated to be soul mates, or did nature force the issue? Pick whatever soul mate elements you can come up with and feature Klaroline.

A quick peek at a WIP for the upcoming week 4 of Klaroline Fanfic Week @klarolinefanficweek - Science Fiction:

The heat suit must be doing its job, because Caroline felt like a baked potato. Unfortunately, vampires didn’t sweat like humans, so she was just going to pass this checkpoint uncomfortably hot. She watched with a practiced eye how the humans seemed to stand a bit taller these days, brimming with the unearned confidence of self-righteous fools. And why shouldn’t they? They’d used their superior numbers to hunt vampires nearly to extinction. 

Decades ago, it started with the Mystic Falls Town Council accumulating political power, their members curiously becoming the darlings of social media and television. By the time vampires realized Silas was behind the Council’s meteoric rise to power, the damage couldn’t be undone. For the first time in history, all humans were united in a common purpose. And now they hunted vampires for sport.

She laughed merrily, long blonde curls dancing across her bare shoulders. “Poor? The last thing you are is poor. I certainly don’t offer my services to just anyone, as you well know.” Their first meeting had happened through an unlikely combination of a very late informant and extraordinarily dumb luck.

Caroline had been drinking aguardiente with the locals in a rundown bar on the outskirts of Salento, pissed as hell and bored out of her skull. And that’s when she saw the drunk American tourist nearly fall off his wobbly barstool while a waitress picked his pocket. She stood up to intervene, a foolish instinct given she was supposed to be blending with the locals until she had a clear line of sight to her target. When he surprised the entire row of jeering barflies with not only coherent Spanish, but a seemingly firm grasp of the favored Paisa dialect. That’s when Caroline was caught.
