Okay so I could poke holes in the logic behind veganism ALL day but here’s the truly ironic thing:

Not buying animal products means they’re not buying honey, which means they’re not supporting beekeepers. So vegans, who claim to be doing the right thing for animals, are literally contributing to the mass death of bees.

Honestly the whole joke about vegans talking about them being vegans is so annoying like Christians wear pendants that allow you to see that they are indeed Christian In every bio on every social media site there are people being like “proud Californian” “gamer” “dancer” “artist” like??????? Everyone else can be proud of what they are until you’re a damn vegan Why do vegans have to shut up about what they believe in when everyone else in any other group in the world can just be loud and proud about it and no one even cares? And plus veganism is GOOD for so many reasons. Why make fun of something that is obviously justified even if it may not personally resonate with you? “How do you tell someone is vegan?” They sometimes feel like they have to tell just so you don’t get confused at why they don’t want to join in on you talking about how ‘good’ their little chicken friends taste, or so you don’t buy/make them food that they will not want to eat, or so you don’t later on wonder why they don’t wanna go to the horse races with you or to seaworld. Most of the time vegans only tell you they’re vegan for your own convenience, which they shouldn’t even HAVE to consider.

the reason people get so reactive when veganism is brought up is because they don’t want to have to confront the reality of their selfish choices. they’d rather believe it’s necessary to eat animal products than be confronted with the reality that they’re contributing heavily to the destruction of the planet for no good reason.

On Tuesday morning, the country rejoiced when it was announced that Harriet Tubman, Underground railroad conductor and all-around badass, was going to replace Andrew Jackson, a slave-owning racist who engineered and oversaw a genocide, on the $20 bill and become both the first woman and the first African American on United States currency.

Sounds great right?….well, not exactly.

On Tuesday afternoon, the Treasury Department announced that Jackson wasn’t being removed from the bill, just being moved from the front to the back.

meaning Harriet, the woman responsible for freeing over 300 slaves, will actually be sharing the bill with former slave owner Andrew Jackson.

one step forward, two steps back.
