We have decided to close down Surprisingly Twins. As much as we put the time and effort into this roleplay, we sort of lost the muse to continue on with it. I know we didn't get anywhere and we're both really sorry that we have to close the roleplay, but it's better than forcing us to just keep on with the roleplay with no muse and no passion. We're hoping that no hard feelings happen with all of you, but we really don't have the time or inspiration for the roleplay anymore.
If you have any questions, please bring them to Blainehelps or the inbox of this roleplay. We're so sorry to let everyone down like this, honestly. Please have a lovely rest of your roleplaying experience and please remember that we're all here for each other.
[Private] Um, hi... So... um, my boyfriend wants to stay with me, is... that okay?
I guess it'll be okay until your next meeting with the Doctor Smith. She'll give you her final decision in a bit. Any particular reason as to why you'd like to have him with you now?
Under the cut the questions and a few informations will be found for Miss Rachel Berry.
Hello Miss Berry,
I'm very certain you've had an amazing time in the one and only Great White Way, haven't you? I have some questions that I'd love for you to answer, so let's get to it.
→ Your sister Imogen, what do you think about her? She is somewhat of a strange child, is she not? Have you two gotten along? Do you consider her your sister yet?
→ You're a dedicated actress are you not? You'll do anything to get on stage, won't you? Your fathers basically prepared you your whole life for Broadway. Compare this to your sister who was transferred from foster home to foster home. How does this make you feel being the more fortunate twin?
→ What is your biggest fear in life? Isn't it a bit scary to go to New York City, the city of your dreams by yourself? Why is it that you went alone?
→ You seem quite upset that we took your dog. Does he mean a lot to you? When did you get him? Why?
! Now, just stay still while I give you your medication for the week and then you’ll feel free to go back to your normal day.
———- This week, Rachel's shot will affect her voice, and the way she talks. She’ll slowly, within twenty four hours, lose the ability to talk-- almost like laryngitis-- fully. In a way to freak her out, maybe, as the doctor wants to observe how she’d react to this considering her voice is a big thing to her.
Under the cut the questions and a few informations will be found for Mister Rory Flanagan.
Hello Mister Flanagan,
I hope you’ve been having a good beginning to your trip and have been adjusting well. We apologize for your twin not being here yet, we're not exactly sure where he is at this moment of time.
→ We've heard rumors that you might be feeling left out of the program? Is this true? How could we make you feel more included? Remy Kate's twin isn't here either, I would recommend to bond with her.
→ You decided to come alone to America. Why is this, do you think? Did you have problems fitting in at home as well?
→ Is there one thing here that you truly don’t want to see happening? Oh, of course, we’re not going to kill you, or hurt you, or anyone else, we just need to analyze your fears, so don’t be afraid about it. We just take absolute interest in fear. It's an interesting concept
→ It seems to us that you have dyslexia and ADHD. Do you take medication for either of these issues? Why or why not? If you do take medicine for either of these, what are you like when you don't take the medication? We'd just like to know.
Thank you for taking the time to answer these questions! Now, just stay still while I give you your medication for the week and then you’ll feel free to go back to your normal day.
———- This week, Rory’s shot is a placebo. He'll probably just get some fake headaches from it, but other than this it won’t affect him at all.
Under the cut the questions and a few informations will be found for Mister Gabriel Dumas and what's going to happen to his boyfriend Loup Delorme
Hello Mister Dumas,
I'm glad it seems like you're adjusting to this definite change. Anyhow, let's get to some questions I have for you, shall we?
→ What are your thoughts on Blaine? Were there any jealous feelings you may have had due to the fact that Blaine can hear and you cannot? Do you think he's going to be a predominant part of your life after this?
→ Blaine grew up with your real parents, how does this make you feel? Is there any resentment, even though you two both grew up in the same economical state?
→You're extremely close to your boyfriend, Loup, correct? What is one thing you're terrified of him doing to you, or to your relationship?
→ What is the worst thing you think could happen to you here? Whether related to your twin or… Anything you might have in mind. Are you scared of this new situation in New York?
Thank you for this! Now, just stay still while I give you your medication for the week.
———- This week, Gabriel's shot is a placebo. He’ll probably just get some fake headaches from it, but other than this it won’t affect him.
When going back to his room, Loup will not be there, instead, he’ll find a letter with, written on it, almost what he said to the doctor as an answer to the third question.
Loup will only come back a few hours later. Turns out, he has been at a Broadway audition this entire time and is completely unarhmed.
Will the loss of hearing, sight, etc. be permanent?
Definitely not, no. For now, the Doctor is trying to observe how it would affect the kids, and how they react when confronted to scary things or a stressful environment in general.
I hope you’ve been having a good beginning to your trip. But let's talk about your trip and experience so far, shall we?
→ What do you think about your twin, Emily? What was your first thoughts about her seeing her pink hair and everything like that? Do you consider her your sister now?
→ You're pretty much a princess, aren't you? You have everything you could ever want and everything we could ever offer you and you rejected us until we mentioned you starting over. What are you trying to hide from? Something to bury in the past, perhaps?
→ What do you think your parents think about you meeting your sister, hm? Does it bother you that you're going against their backs and trying to control your own life? After everything they've done for you?
→ It seems like you were worrying the other day, why is that? Do you think we'd genuinely hurt you? You're the one who came here anyhow, no one forced you. So what has you so worried, hm?
Thank you for taking the time to answer these questions! Now, just stay still while I give you your medication for the week and then you'll feel free to go back to your normal day.
———- This week, Quinn's shot will affect her ears, and the way she hears. She’ll slowly, within twenty four hours, lose the ability to hear fully. In a way to freak her out, maybe, as the doctor wants to observe how she’d react to this.
Under the cut the questions and a few informations will be found for Mister Blaine Anderson.
Hello Mister Anderson,
I hope you've been having a good beginning to your trip. But, here, let's start with the questions.
→ So, you met your twin, Gabriel. What do you think of him so far? Did you two take some time to talk and get to know each other better?
→ Unlike many of the twins here, you both grew up in similar ways. How do you feel, though, about being the one who got to stay with your parents?
→ We noticed that you spent some time out of the facility without really asking, to meet your boyfriend, right? Why didn't you ask for him to come with you? Did you really need for him to be in New York with you or did he invite himself?
→ You didn't seem to try and get close to a lot of people here. Any explanation as to why you've been a bit... Secretive? It's true that you haven't been here much though, but still.
Thank you for this! Now, just stay still while I give you your medication for the week.
------- This week, Blaine's shot will affect his eyes, and the way he sees. He'll slowly, within twenty four hours, lose the ability to see. In a way to freak him out, maybe, as the doctor wants to observe how he'd react to this.
Under the cut the questions and a few informations will be found for Miss Imogen Barrett and what's going to happen with her friend, Isabel Harlowe.
Hello Miss Barrett,
I hope you've been having a good beginning to your trip. But, here, let's start with the questions.
→ I heard you and your twin clashed a bit at first. Is everything going a bit better now? You've gotten to know Rachel?
→ You grew up in an orphanage, mostly, right? Would you mind clearing your past a bit with me? Maybe that explains your first reaction to meeting Rachel? Jealousy?
→ You got close to Isabel growing up, if I'm not mistaken. Do you consider her a sister? Why did you choose to take her with you? What is something she could do that'd really hurt you?
→ What is the worst thing you think could happen to you here? Whether related to your twin or... Anything you might have in mind.
Thank you for this! Now, just stay still while I give you your medication for the week.
------- This week, Imogen's shot is a placebo. She'll probably just get some fake headaches from it, but other than this it won't affect her.
When going back to her room, Isabel will not be there, instead, she'll find a letter with, written on it, almost what she said to the doctor as an answer to the third question.
Isabel will only come back a few hours later. Turns out, she's been with one of Dr. Smith's assistants, talking about Imogen and the experiment. While she probably didn't learn anything new, he talked to her and kept her enough time for Imogen to start worrying.
Hypothetical questions, but if one of the twins went inactive would people interested in the role have to play the character with the biography already written or could we write a new one? Also if someone went inactive but brought an OC, what happens to the OC if they're already a player?
When the twins go inactive, their role is fully re-opened, which means the new player would have to get a new biography.
As for OCs, this is a great question, and to be honest, I've thought of a few different solutions depending on their activity. It'd go from making them part of the experiment's staff, giving them a twin so they can be part of the experiment, for one of our other players to get a relationship with them (even if it means twisting their new relationship), or adding a relationship bullet point to the twin who left, that the new applicant would have to follow. It'll really depends on who it is and what they'd like better. - Admin C.
Under the cut the questions and a few informations will be found for Miss Remy Kate Lancaster and what's going to happen with her sister, Mary Ashley Lancaster.
Hello Miss Lancaster,
First and foremost, I'm sorry your twin hasn't arrived yet. We've been informed of a few problems that kept her from travelling to meet us. Hopefully, she'll be able to join us soon. Until then, let's talk!
→ It seems that you've been making a lot of friend around here already. How would you explain that? Are you looking for friends or does behaving like this seem natural to you?
→ You brought your adoptive sister with you here, Mary Ashley, right? She's waiting for you upstairs I think... Anyways, what is the worst thing you think she could tell you, or do to you? One thing that you're even afraid to imagine.
→ Is there one thing here that you truly don't want to see happening? Oh, of course, we're not going to kill you or your little friends, we just need to analyze your fears, so don't be afraid about it.
→ Growing up, were you closer to one of your parents? If yes, do you know why?
Thank you for this! Now, just stay still while I give you your medication for the week.
------- This week, Remy Kate's shot is a placebo. She'll probably just get some fake headaches from it, but other than this it won't affect her.
When going back to her room, Mary Ashley will not be there, instead, she'll find a letter with, written on it, almost what she said to the doctor as an answer to the second question.
Mary Ashley will only come back a few hours later. Turns out, she's been with one of Dr. Smith's assistants, talking about Remy Kate and the experiment. While she probably didn't learn anything new, he talked to her and kept her enough time for RK to start worrying.
Please, may I see Reno? He's all I have and he gets scared without me. Please?
The doctor allowed for you to come see your pup for a bit. Just be downstairs as soon as you can, and we'll get there together, as you're not allowed to get downstairs on your own.
The questions for every character will be posted from tomorrow to Monday, as well as what's in their shot, and some other little things Erin might have to say.
You will have to answer the questions, either as they are or through a self para, depending on what you would prefer. Feel free to react about the video in game already, or to send questions to the main IC or OOC if there's anything you'd like to know.
All of the kids participating in the experiment can find a brand new IPad on their bed, with this message opening on it if they take a close look at it. The following video has been shot on the 08/23, at 10 AM, as you can see on the right up corner of the video.
Good morning children,
As some of you may have noticed, the pets in the rooms you might have taken with you have been taken away. They will be given back to you in a few days. If you'd like to see them, please, click on the first application, on the second page of this tablet, and my assistant will gladly respond to your message.
Tomorrow and until Monday, I will see each one of you separately to ask you a few questions about your start here, your twin, what you might think of them, and, of course, take the first bit of medication we have to test on you.
Your friends and the people you might have invited are not allowed to accompany you downstairs in my office.
Thank you for listening to this. If you have any question, please, let my assistant know.
