okay I see people blaming mikasa for “messing up” but pls look at how things happened: eren’s questions came out of no where. she had just been looking for him and after he commented on how them two were like those immigrants, he suddenly asked her why she cares so much and what does she see him as, which are pretty heavy questions. hence the couple “huh?” and the “um…” from mikasa. i hope that you know that admitting feelings to someone who you’ve loved for so long isn’t easy, it can be pretty nerve wrecking. it all happened likely within a few minutes and i think that mikasa’s reaction was realistic. please stop blaming her for being caught off guard.

Snk Character Positivity Day: Levi Ackerman

I was that rare kind of person who disliked Levi from the very beginning. I’ve been in fandom since 2014 and I got really bored by hearing “Levi is so sexy and badass” kind of stuff said by almost every second fan. I thought he was just a typical guy from shounen manga with tons of fanservice and super-powers to attract new readers to the manga itself. 

How could I be so wrong about him?

The Uprising arc changed my views towards Levi completely. I’ve finally seen the real face of a person who was hiding his emotions under the “hero” mask for many and many years. He was “The Humanity’s Strongest” and everyone beyond the Walls saw Levi only in that way. But he was a human as well as other soldiers in the Survey Corps. He had ordinary fears, dreams and, most importantly, he had feelings. He wasn’t an emotionless machine for killing titans, because he had a heart and this heart was full of love towards others.

I hate myself for being so blind to this character for so long. He’s a real pearl of snk manga for being one of the most empathetic characters who does care about other’s lives. For him life of every soldier has the same value, and it’s painful to see him trying to save everyone, but facing the death of everyone he loves over and over till the very end.

His path is full of sacrifices, pain and loses, but he’s strong to find powers to move forward. And this is what impresses me the most in this character. He lost his family, his friends, his squads and finally he lost his one and only liege, but he keeps moving forward no matter how much his heart is wounded. He’s definetely “The Humanity’s Strongest”, not only physically, but mentally as well.

I love Levi for his human side, for his emotions hidden deep inside of his heart, for his devotion to the people he loves and truly worries about. For me he’s a hero not for being “The Humanity’s Strongest", he’s a hero for remaining the Human in the world full of cruelty, betrayal and death.

Okay, I honestly have way too many things to say about this girl. I remember when I was first introduced to her while reading the first chapters of the Marley arc, I thought she was a bit annoying but that never really escalated nor did it become anything of hatred (even after what had happened in ch. 105). Her character is just so incredibly interesting and it's hard not to get invested in her story/character arc. Nonetheless, I grew to love this misunderstood character. It's honestly really upsetting to see the amount of hate that she still gets even though she's not to blame. I really hope she gets a happy ending that she deserves. And maybe even get married to falco UwU

SNK positivity week day 1: Character appreciation.

(I drew them looking all serious for once because why not? XD I got another one where they’re happy I’ll upload later. ^^ )

Hannes.

Well, I mean… everyone knows how much I love Hannes. ^^ He’s been my favourite character in SNK for ages now. He’s brave, caring and friendly, and overall seems like a person basically anyone can get along with. He has his flaws, but honestly which character hasn’t? He’s still a good person. I love how, after the fall of wall Maria, he seems to have really made an effort to improve, become braver and a better soldier. And of course, I love how much he seems to care about Eren, Armin and Mikasa.

I still cry my eyes out whenever I re-watch the series and get to the episode he died. But to me, no character is really dead as long as wel can make AUs and fianfics and art about them. ^^ So to me, Hannes and all the other characters that died in SNK aren’t really gone.

Mitabi Jarnach.

I’ll be honest, I never gave Mitabi much thought originally. ^^; I only really started to notice him when I started following @quietcelt​ and read her headcanons about him, as well as some other people in the small fandom fro the Garrison.

Since there’s not a lot to go from in the manga and anime, I feel like a lot of his character is speculation. But I LOVE the character he’s been given by his fans. ^^ He’s a good person and very brave (I mean he did go through great risks and ultimately gave his life in the Battle for Trost), but if you look at the headcanons going around about him… He’s also just a huge dork and I love it!
