Things that make me feel like a real adult (I just discovered)
Wearing a watch.
Holding a cup of coffee.
I wish my superpower to be to retain everything that I bother to learn, always. No wasting time on relearning.
Can the saying be “We grew in love.” not “We fell in love”
I’m changing my brand.
I no longer identify myself as a depressed person, though I have experienced (and may in the future experience) depression.
I’m not surviving the oxygen, I am drinking it up; living and breathing deeply.
I am a deep-diver into the life I’ve got; swimming through the mess and splashing in the beauty.
No doubt life is hard, but now I stand up to it. No doubt life contains beauty, so now I search it out.
Let’s make our life worth it.

So apparently the bumblebee has officially been declared endangered...and i’m just wondering, do they actually take a census of all species every year to figure this shit out?
Ya’ll I need your tips for depression.
It’s currently 5 p.m. I’ve been in bed since noon.
How do I get things done? Eat well? not let this thing spiral?
here’s a depression lifehack that my partner’s therapist told him and that has been really surprisingly effective:
sour.
strong, disruptive tastes (especially sour) cause your brain to focus on THAT instead of feeling bad. if you have issues with depressive episodes, get some warheads, or a couple drops of lemon juice, when you just can’t shake it. works more often than not, we’ve found. fucking wild
Off to buy some warheads and lemon juice...well, tomorrow I’ll do that.
I took my meds too close to bedtime again and I need you all to know the dream I had last night involved Robin Williams becoming the new Defense Against The Dark Arts teacher at Hogwarts. Not, a character portrayed by Robin Williams, just Robin Williams as himself running around Hogwarts doing wandless magic and being as loud and big as possible because and I quote before I forget:
“Listen, children, I’m not saying all this bad shit that is happening isn’t scary and you shouldn’t be concerned–because you should!–but I’m telling you this now for free. Life is a boggart, it’s the biggest boggart of them all. You never know what it’s going to look like one moment to the next. And sometimes you just gotta laugh. It’s okay to laugh. It’s part of the grieving process. You need to grieve before you can heal. But it’s okay to laugh while you’re doing it.”
I didn’t wake up right after that, some more stuff happened in a hazy sort of way as the dream began to dissolve into conciousness, but I remember him yelling Expecto Patronum as he punched a Death Eater in the face. Because sometimes, evidently, you have to make your own happy memories.
I think Robin Williams literally visited you in your sleep from the beyond in order to pass this message on to the world.
It’s still the week after halloween.
I’m going to get my millennial butt all the candy
whimsy. magic. sugar.
I lost my passion
Now my mission is to find it.
I’ll see you on the other side.
I used to be scared of changing
But I became self-absorbed, prideful, depressed, and anxious.
Now I am scared to staying the same.
I’m on page 71
of An Absolutely Remarkable Thing, by Hank Green.
I’m enchanted.
My neurons are firing with idea’s and wonder.
I honestly feel like reading Hank Green’s book has made me feel more alive; more happy to be alive, and more intelligent.
Thank you, Hank, for putting this glorious creation into the world and making my life better for it.
To those of you still dreaming...
What is your dream?
When you really listen to another person from their point of view, and reflect back to them that understanding, it’s like giving them emotional oxygen.
Stephen Covey (via philosophyquotes)
