How to attract students to come to an event
In our eventbeep many college events are there which students go through and register themselves and eventbeep provides the platform to the students that they can register in any of the events because it has a students events community so there are many successful college events in which few i am mentioning below:-
1. Learning: For most college students, attending a workshop, presenting a paper and beating that stage fright is a great learning. Ensure you have a proper mix of great workshops related to the theme of the fest by highly eminent faculty, experts and ensure they don't get overlapped with other event schedules.
2 Recognition (Prizes!!): For the students/participants, getting recognized for their work, their presentations, for winning is a huge attraction and major pull! Do ensure your fest has a lot of events, competitions, contests
3. Brand Value: This is a given. Fests at IIT's, NIT's, IIM's typically attract more footfalls with the institution's brand value.
Accommodation, Food, Transportation, 24/7 Support: As an example, students who attend Saarang get picked by IITM students from the railway station and the bus station every hour. Just an example of the hospitality that they extend to other college students. Ensure all these basic needs are taken care of. Students are always hungry :D The word-of-mouth publicity, (literally ;)) extends to years to come!
Experience: The experience of a new event, the experience of seeing RoboWars for the first time, the experience of beating stage fright, the experience of winning something, the experience of meeting a celebrity, the experience of experiencing Opeth, the experience - you just cannot put it in words what a great college fest will help students take back with them. Make every event in your fest count. Quality of the events is a major high.
