Hey Guys
Here is some snap shots of “Ignacio Serricchio"from “Lost in Space”. I was watching this and I thought he would be great as Nathan Drake from “Unchartered”. What do you think?

Start a 1-Acre, Self-Sufficient Homestead
Expert advice on how to establish self-sufficient food production, including guidance on crop rotations, raising livestock and grazing management.
By John Seymour
I love John Seymour and this little picture was one of the first to get me thinking about homesteading. Some things I’ve learned so far:
1) Don’t wait until you’ve acquired your little patch of heaven to start. Finding land is expensive and time consuming. Start where you are, even if it’s just herbs in the window sill or a patio garden. Grow where you’re planted. 🌿
2) Living in the country is cool. Driving 45 minutes to get anywhere is not. Don’t limit your search to rural areas. Empty and abandoned land in urban areas can be a good deal AND you won’t bleed out before the ambulance reaches you. A less dramatic example: forgetting the butter doesn’t mean an hour + round trip.
3) About butter…yeah, you’ll be buying it. It’s incredibly cost prohibitive to to raise large livestock on a small scale. Maybe goats? No matter what size, remember animals are a 24/7/365 responsibility.
4) You would be a god among insects if you grew a 1/10 acre of wheat, harvested it, milled it and baked your own bread. Next level for sure. Just consider: 5 lbs of organic red winter wheat for planting costs $11.75. A FIFTY pound bag of unbleached flour is $18.25. Consider trade offs for time and growing space for every thing you plant.
5) Self-sufficiency isn’t about isolation. You can’t do it alone, no matter how cute the diagrams look. Sharing knowledge and harvests increases your knowledge and builds community. Isn’t the whole point to make something better?
6) Lastly, you will fail. A lot. But the tiny victories will blot them out again and again to woo you into a false sense of confidence so you’ll try the next crazy experiment. And it will be worth it.
Treasure God’s Word - Part 3
“Let the message about Christ, in all its richness, fill your lives.” — Col 3:16 NLT
As you fill your mind with God’s Word, the Holy Spirit will use it to transform you. “Let the message about Christ, in all its richness, fill your lives…with all the wisdom he gives.” How do you do that?
(1) By reading it. If you read the newspaper but not the Bible, you won’t grow spiritually. You can’t watch TV for three or four hours, then read your Bible for three or four minutes and expect growth. How can you say you believe the Bible from cover to cover, when you haven’t read it from cover to cover? “[We] should…read from it every day” (Dt 17:19 NCV). If you read your Bible for just fifteen minutes a day, you’ll read completely through it once a year. If you cut out just one thirty-minute television program daily, you can read it through twice a year. Daily Bible reading keeps you within range of God’s voice. Do you want to grow spiritually? Develop a daily Bible reading plan and stick with it.
(2) By receiving it. In the parable of the sower Jesus talks about three unreceptive attitudes: a closed mind (hard soil), a superficial mind (shallow soil), and a distracted mind (soil with weeds) (See Lk 8:5-15 NIV). He then goes on to say, “Consider carefully how you listen” (v.18 NIV). Any time you’re not learning, check your attitude, especially for pride, because God can speak to you through the most boring teacher if you’re humble and receptive. James says, “Humbly accept the word planted in you, which can save you” (Jas 1:21 NIV). These aren’t just good ideas; they’re life-changing principles!
It's not only California, water managers in 40 states expect shortages in the next decade. Consumer Reports shows you how to save water all around the house and yard. Hint: Plug your leaks first.
Community Garden.
In the road parallel to Molteno Road, a neighbour started two community gardens a few years ago. They have planted indigenous flowers, and I added a fruit tree to the garden on the corner of Roseberry and Marmion Roads.

absolutely nothing should be sold for a profit if its absence can kill you.
water shouldn’t be sold for a profit.
food shouldn’t be sold for a profit.
healthcare shouldn’t be sold for a profit.
any system where people can die because they’re unable to access these resources needs to be dismantled.
