“Um - yeah, sorry that your… cat died?” Matt really wasn’t listening to the conversation at hand.
Surprisingly, Sutton always had a soft spot for children. They were one of the few exceptions to her wrath. Sutton discretely gave Matt a glare, before she focused all of her attention on the child they were assigned, “I’m sorry about your cat. What was your cat like?”

“Wow, that sucks,” Greta responded, really not sure of what else to say.
“Which is why it is perfectly justified for me to have him reviewed by the school board,” Sutton concluded her mini rant, not really listening to what Greta said.
Thalia was almost able to keep her mouth shut and not say anything sarcastic. Almost. “Whoa, there Princess. You sure you can deal with blood on your hands? Wouldn’t it put a bit of a damper on your flawless record?”
“I’m the best of the best. Getting away with murder is child’s play for me,” Sutton deadpanned. She always thought that anything someone else could do, she could do better.

Never have I ever dropped out of school.
One of the side effects of being so quiet was that Greta had developed a keen ability to eavesdrop. While she was not usually one to interfere, given Sutton’s past (an incident involving viagra came to mind), she figured it was her moral obligation to step in before it actually ended in murder. “Sorry. Who are you talking about?”
To be honest, Sutton didn’t care if someone overheard her. The more people who knew about what happened today, the better. “Mr. Shaw, the lack of professionalism that he has is just too much for me. As band director, he should had turned in our forms earlier, but he didn’t and now we’re on the waiting list.” She should had stuck with the violin.
Oliver was pretty sure that he wasn’t the subject of the slightly disturbing conversation of the girl nearby that he was listening in on (it’s not like he’d done anything that bad lately) but he couldn’t help but mumble a sarcastic comment in her direction regardless.“If you’re gonna be so open with your plans to kill me, can we at least go out to dinner first?”
Realizing that she wasn’t alone in the hallway, Sutton turned to the source of the comment. “It’s not murder if the target is an nitwit and had it coming,” Sutton replied after ending her phone call with her older sister. “But don’t worry, we have reservations at the Northwest Bistro Saturday night. Go big or go home, right?” she played along.
“Before I agree to the latest and greatest of schemes, I need to know what he did,” Josie pointed out. “I’m all for social or actual destruction, but you’ve got to give me something, Sutton.”
“It’s just my brother, Noah. I have two more brothers, so it’s not it’ll affect anything major,” Sutton reasoned. “All I’m saying is we send him away to Israel to live with some of my cousins. It’s only right after he ate my food project for English because he got hungry after smoking weed.”
“You wouldn’t believe what he did today. Let’s just get rid of him,” Sutton told the person she was talking to on her cellphone. “It wouldn’t be hard to dispose of the evidence either,” Sutton muttered. She twirled her hair, rolling her eyes at the memory of what happened today.
