sutton hall was a queen from the day she was born (or at least that’s what she claims). she was raised by a young single father, her mother had not wanted the responsibility of a child and had told her father not to screw her up. he took that very seriously.

he did a great job as a single father but the only problem was he had no idea what to do with her hair, or how to dress her, or how to reach her about womanly struggles.

luckily there was a beauty shop that her auntie worked out down the street from their house. her and her cosmetologist friends saw that her brother was trying, and failing, and took the girl under their wings and taught her all they knew. hair, makeup, periods, boys, etc.

sutton found a love for make-up and beauty in that shop and decided after finishing cosmetology school that she wanted to do more. she wanted to help the girls like her who grew up motherless or without someone in their life to teach them what she had been taught. it started off as short youtube videos but turned into a whole channel and following. she became verified after a few short months. she has now become one of the largest lifestyle/beauty bloggers in the united states.

what started as her trying to do good for the world now has turned into something much more selfish as she is now so focused on the following and the videos that sutton has lost sight of what she started the channel for. she decided that she would get a fresh start away from the vanity of the la lifestyle hoping that this smaller city of charleston would be a way for her to find her inspiration again.

    sutton had been on a very ‘independent woman’ mantra since her arrival to charleston. she was meant to be focusing on herslef and she planned on doing that, but that didn’t mean that she couldn’t have a little fun every once in awhile. river was far from her usual type, but for some reason he seemed to pique her interest— although, she would never tell him that. after they had their little fun together she saw him walking out of a local spot. “are you following me mr.game and watch? or do you just have the luxury of running into me?” @rivcrhqs​

why did you choose to move to charleston

"the main reason was just to get away from the los angeles/california lifestyle. i was spending too much time and energy focusing on selfish and materialistic things that shouldn't have and didn't matter. i wanted to take a step back from it all and just evaluate what was important to me and what i wanted to use my platform for. i found a list of '25 most visited u.s cities' on some obscure website and thought it was cute. not sure if it's served it's purpose just yet, but i'll give it some time."
