“Me too,” Mike agreed, his voice dropping to a whisper, “I believe we all deserve to be happy and… I believe that you and I will be happy together,” Mike promised. Will smiled and moved a hand to Mike’s chin, matching his gesture.

“Crazy together?” he asked softly.

“Yeah,” Mike chuckled, “crazy together.”

They kissed again - this kiss holding all of these emotions. It felt like the sealing of a deal, a shifting of a timeline - a timeline where Mike Wheeler and Will Byers could kiss in the basement and go crazy together.

As they prepared for staying the night, Will called his brother to let him know he’d be staying over, and Mike prepared the bedroom for a sleepover. When they settled into Mike’s bed, Mike pressed a kiss to Will’s forehead, holding him close in his arms.

As Mike’s mind wandered around what could happen next, a brief interruption swept into his thoughts.
