I really can and will blame the 9-5 for everything. "We're in a loneliness epidemic" well, we have to spend a third of our day interacting with people in a professional way that makes forming real friendships difficult and then we're peopled out by the time we're done. "People are eating more and more unhealthily" people have to spend more than a third of their day doing work related tasks and they don't want to spend their tiny amount of free time making food. "People aren't involved in their local communities" after spending more than a third of their day doing work related things people are tired and also all those community events take place during normal working hours. "People need to get more hobbies" after spending more than a third of their day working, people are TIRED and don't want to do anything that takes yet more energy. "Literacy is dying" to maintain your critical thinking skills you need to read/watch things that make you think and after spending more than a third of your day doing work related stuff you are TIRED and don't want to expend even more brainnpower. "People need to get outside more" People. Are. TIRED. Because they have to spend all of their time working or preparing for work or recovering from work or doing all the chores they couldn't stay on top of because of work. I can blame fucking anything on having to work, it is truly the root of all fucking evil.

before my egg cracked, i had noticed that trans people were often pro-accessibility and up-to-date on the needs of disabled people, but i hadn’t seen any inherent connection between the two (other than the obvious minority-looking-out-for-other-minority thing). but now that i’m trans and medically transitioning, and i have to constantly repeat myself while talking to doctors and nurses, and explain things about my own anatomy to medical staff who should already know this, and having every single problem i might have blamed on my “condition” so nothing i say is taken seriously, all of the sudden i have a little sneak peak into the life of someone who has to deal with this all the time. like shit bro, being disabled probably sucks ass, someone should do something about this

Aaand winter is done in record time. With this, the base seasonals is complete and I can move on to the extras + second seasonal set (eventually). I recently had some divine inspiration beamed right into my brain while I was doing dishes, so I'm particularly excited to sketch out Cheri's Shooting Star date outfit... and maybe some cold weather variants too?

Anyways, winter is my favorite design. The hakama was challenging to do, but in the revamp I managed it and made the hakama more accurate looking as well, which I'm VERY proud of.

Version and layer comparison:

These outfit layers were still fully rendered despite being covered up in the final product for 2 reasons: vanity (just because I can) and so I have a completed base for certain outfits, like the iaido practice gear. I can finish whole new outfits in much less time, with minimal adjustments to the collar and sleeves at most plus some accessories!
