[Good. He better not say anything.] Now, don’t talk like that -- No one’s beyond help, and certainly not you. [Takes a moment to glance up at him.] Perhaps you like to think you are, but you were always one for dramatics like that. [But she will keep walking by his side, keeping up with his pace.]

[ Chuckles a bit ] Well, can’t say that you don’t have a point. Probably, at least. Good to hear that your prayers have not been unanswered then. [ He immediately notices when he gets pulled in the wrong direction, but he doesn’t immediately comment on it; in stead considers how long it’d take her to realize this herself, but eventually gently pulls her in the opposite direction anyways, not wanting to risk her getting pissed at him because they made a gigantic detour. Though he wouldn’t have minded the extra time with her himself ofc. ]

Consider yourself lucky -- Sometimes I think to throw a prayer in for you too, and they seem to always get answered. Now that you know, I think it’d do you a bit of good to give her a thank you now and then. [quickly turns as soon as she realises -- Artem, you saw nothing.] [Instead her grip tightens on his hand just slightly, in a tiny show of dominance.]

I’m sure they were. Although you probably should have been more careful. The first time I saw you, if I had known any better, I would’ve thought you were Medeinė or something. I’m not sure or the real Goddess would’ve been so grateful about imposters. [ He would have made a bit of a face at the swinging at first, but then just rolled his eyes, albeit with a bit of a smile he is trying to hide by looking at the other side ]  Hm. I remember yes. I still know where it is, so we can go.

Oh, nonsense -- Medeinė protects all creatures of the forest. I would say I fall into that category. My prayers to her for safe passage have always been answered. [Her eyes brighten at his assent and the grip on his hands tighten slightly before she starts to pull him along (probably in the wrong direction but shhh.)]

[ She knows him too well damnit. But he is smug about knowing she can’t react to it anyways. ] Oh I think you know exactly who I am talking about, miss Tarzan. There are just sights you don’t forget. [ Grins ] Of course, I am not insinuating you were not absolutely attractive with all that dirt on your face and the twings and leaves in your hair. I’m sure a lot of the forest spirits thought so at least. [ But he eagerly takes a hold of her hand and nods forward. ] So. where does the lady want to walk to?

Well...As long as the forest spirits were satisfied, that’s all that matters. [Swings their hands back and forth while she thinks.] Let’s go to that little grove we found last year. Do you remember? It’s been so long since we’ve been back, I do hope we can find it again.

[ Chuckles ] Pfft. I can easily say the same about someone else. [ Takes advantage of the fact she can’t turn her head around to look at him because of the braiding and sticks out his tongue at her briefly ] Alright there, all done now. Now you look a bit less like a spirit of the wild woods.

[Somehow, she knows that he stuck his tongue out anyway. Call it a sixth sense. Although lucky for him, she’s stuck facing forward and can’t do anything about it.] I have no idea who you could possibly be talking about. [Shakes her head a bit to test the braid -- of course, it holds perfectly -- it was done by Artem after all.] [Now she’s going to stand up and turn around, extending a hand for Artem to take.] Now for our walk.

[ Smiles a bit, and shrugs ] Perhaps. Eventually. We will see. She is very stubborn after all. Can’t blame her, I guess. [ Watches her, and follows her example; sitting down behind her. ] Alright. And please. It’s for your own sake, really. 

Hm, Almost exactly like a certain someone I know. [And she sits still while Artem gets back to work, occasionally reaching over to Darja for pets and head scratches.]

[ Ok he is a bit disappointed she didn’t give more of a reaction, but he’ll accept his defeat because he loves her so much ] Fair enough.

[ He can’t help raising a brow at her when she inhales, and lets out a snort. ] Hmm. I already know spring’s here. Darja ran into my home covered in flower petals and cheeks thick from bee-stings at least three times this week alone. Lovely time of the year.

[Lets out an amused snort] She will learn. [pauses for a moment] Probably. [She will sit herself down on the top step of his porch though.] Here, you can finish the braid now. I promise that I will try not to move around so much this time.

[ Makes a vague ‘tsk’ noise and shakes his head a bit ] [ He thinks for a bit ] Oh yeah I know you will. I’m glad to hear that I don’t have to bother remembering these. Leaves me with more room to remember all the times you went down face first into the mud because you weren’t watching your step. [ Grins back at her ] But don’t worry. Secrets are safe, right?

[ Gives a nod, and proceeds to ready the baby doge ] [ it only takes a minute and there he is with very excited puppy doge ] [ also offers her his arm ]

[first she’s gonna bend down to pet the doge] [and then she takes his arm while opening the door, squinting a bit in the sunlight] [a deep breath of fresh air] See? It’s so lovely outside. You can tell that spring’s in the air.

Oh don’t worry I’m very aware. I wouldn’t be surprised if you actually considered deep frying me on at least one occasion back then. [ Eyeroll, and averts his eyes because slight embarrassment. ] [ coughs ] –I have no recollection of such a thing ever happening. 

[ There’s a twinkle in his eyes when he watches her stretch I mean ] Mhm. If you want, fine. I will take Darja then as well. So she’s had her daily walk already too then. If you don’t mind? 

Of course you don’t -- but do not worry. I remember it well enough for the both of us. [<3] [gently nudges him with her elbow] Lucky for you, that little secret is safe with me.

[!! yes please bring the doge] [nods quickly] Let’s get going then. [She’ll wait by the door while Artem gets Darja ready.]

[ He only gives a roll of the eye at that ] I see. Maybe so. I’m flattered you believe me to have such great skills then. [ He frowns for a split second when she turns her head and causes the braid to slip out of his grip, but he (gently) manages to grab the loose end with one hand before it unravels ] Careful. You’re gonna ruin my masterpiece like that. 

[ Makes a bit of a face at her request, then turns his head towards the window. ] Well.. Alright then. [ To which he puts an elastic in her hair to keep the braid from falling apart when he lets go of it, and proceeds to stand up; still eyeing her. ] Do you want me to carry you too, princess? [ Smirk ]

[small snort] If you can. Remember those days when it was the opposite? You were so tiny, I could have eaten you up in one bite! And the way you would cling to my dress when you were afraid--!

[She’ll stop there with her teasing. For now.] [Instead, she stands up as well, stretching.] Let’s go, then. We should take a walk after you finish as well. It would be nice to stretch our legs a bit.
