Now that she thought about it, she was rather lucky to have seen it at all. If like him, she too had looked up only a moment later neither would have seen it. But she did not think herself as lucky – especially not after Artem had gone on about how much he loved space. If anything it should have been him to see such a thing, not her. 

       ❝ I only wish you had gotten to see it as well, had shared such an              experience with me…that counts as a wish does it not? ❞   

“Not quite, entirely. But that’s alright. There will be plenty more falling stars to come.”

Though he didn’t really mind the fact that he had just missed it, as he had seen a lot of them in his life already. Something that tended to happen by spending a lot of nights in the outside, looking up at the sky. He was not sad that he had missed an opportunity to wish upon a star, as he had done many times, only for the wishes never to come true. But he did gave her a bit of a surprised look in response to her words, and a smile afterwards. 

“It counts as one. And I’m sure it will happen one day or another. Thank you.”

Even if he is initially surprised, he does manage to quickly move the phone out of her reach, while using his other hand to restrain her, holding her down by the shoulder ]

Laugh all you want.  I personally find it funny how you can keep track of time in your head but need three calendars to keep track of one day.  I fought back with a water gun this year so yes, I think it’s a nice tradition.  You missed it the year you shouldn’t have.  [Here she gives a snort as she rolls her eyes.]  Only 10% more?  What is that up from?  I hope more than 0.

Well, I like to make sure that I remember the important stuff. Obviously. Being able to ruin your appearance is very important to me. It is the best tradition. And oh no worries, I will make up for it next year, will douse you twice as much. [ snorts ] Well, maybe. Who knows huh.
