In high school, you were Homecoming Queen, not because your were smart, funny or kind. It was purely because everyone voted for you based on how hot you were. For prom, not having somebody to go with was never a worry of yours. You were every boy's first pick. The choice was yours.

By college, you were used to guys putting you up on a pedestal and bending over backwards to get you attention. Cover charges...what's that? You never had to pay for admission to any bar or club you ever went to. And once inside all you had to do was smile at any guy, and within seconds he was offering to buy you a drink.

You had forgotten what it's like to be single. If one guy turned out to be a douche bag, you simply dumped him, and there was a slew of other guys lining up to be with you.

With your head in the clouds for so long, you could often times be a bit of a b*tch and certainly not the most down the earth. But it didn't matter. Guys would simply apologize and say it must have been their fault for not keeping you happy. Because when you're this hot, you're untouchable!

Your Ex has now become your biggest ally in supporting your transition.

It was difficult breaking the news to her when you both were still together. You knew she was a straight woman, and loved everything about the masculine qualities that you brought to the relationship, but what else could you do? You knew you HAD to transition. It was either you sacrifice your happiness and live a life of regret, or you take that chance and hope for the best.

She took the news hard. She had envisioned you two getting married and living a long, happy married life together. Her world had been turned upside down.

“I can’t do this, I’m into men” she kept repeating.

After a few days, the dust began to settle a bit, and after many hours spent pondering what to do, both of you agreed that you didn’t want to be so quick to throw away what was otherwise a picture-perfect relationship. Both of you were going all-in on trying to find a way to make this work!

But there were so many questions about how to do that, and what the future would look like. After a couple weeks of things feeling rather tense, she started asking some of the tougher questions:

“Are you going to medically transition with hormones?” - Yes.

“Is it going to cause you to grow breasts?” - Yes.

“I just can’t” she replied. “I’m straight! I can’t deal with seeing you with breasts! I don’t see how we can ever be intimate again!”

“Are you attracted to men?” - “Um… *pause* IDK”. “What do you mean you don’t know?” she said. “Uh, well yeah, I am curious about that.” you said hesitantly.

“Are you going to have surgery to change your penis into a vagina?” she asked. “mayb…I mean yeah I want that.” you replied.

3 months later, the relationship was over. Between you presenting more feminine, and your breasts finally beginning to bud, she just couldn’t handle it any longer.

“No matter what happens, I’ll always have love for you.” she said. “But, I need a man in my life. And really I think you do too..” “if you’re gonna go all the way and become a woman, then you might as well be honest with yourself, and go for what you really want and be happy. You deserve to have that full female experience!”
