i’m trying to do this thing where i say the kind thing, the courageous thing instead of the nagging painful thing, the thing i know will cause harm, the thing i know will evoke a painful response, the thing i know will make them feel as bad as i feel and so i’m trying to do this thing where i say the kind thing, the thing that really reflects how my heart feels, the thing that’s beyond the pain, the thing that’s rooted deeply in love and a real, human, loving kindness
