"You know," Eoin says, head tipped back against Paddy's shoulder. "We've never had a New Year's kiss." They got together in the spring and Paddy was gone by the time the next New Year rolled around. Crazy, really, to think how short a time they were actually together and how it was still long enough to reshape Eoin's whole being. "Are you expecting that to change tonight?" Paddy asks. Eoin shrugs and uses the movement to press back into him. "Well. I've got to kiss someone." "And I hope it keeps fine for you." He would sound completely casual, except his hand is splayed over Eoin's middle, heavy and possessive. "What about you?" Eoin asks. "Anyone here catch your eye?" Paddy's hand drifts down, his fingers sliding through Eoin's belt loops. "Hm. There's a wee Southern boy from Belfast. Perhaps he'll give me the time of day." "I'll tell Ambrose you're interested," Eoin offers.
