Incipio Feather case for iPhone4

One of the main deciding factors for me getting this case is that it's unbelievably thin! I've always hated putting a case on a phone because it ruins the aesthetics and it covers all the design put into the appearance of the phone. So why did I choose to get a case? In this case of the iPhone, the back exterior and sides of the phone aren't known to be super scratch-resistant so I tried to find a case that was minmalistic and thin. I didn't want a case that was too bulky, (which would be smart for durability) but the main thing I wanted was to just not scratch the phone, which fit perfectly for the Incipio Feather. It suited my needs.

The case has a nice soft-touch texture and has their name engraved on the back of the case. As shown in the image is an iPhone 4s in the case. Now for those who don't know, the iPhone 4S has a subtle appearance tweak compared to the previous model where the volume and silent button has been pushed a few millimeters downward. I'm not sure if Incipio made a 4S model of the case, since at the time the only one they had available was this model. So as you can see in the image the buttons are very close in touching the edge of the cut out on the case. Not a big deal, but just one thing to notice.

Pros

Looks great and doesn't add much weight on top of the iPhone

Feel-good texture to hold

Bare minimum designing of a case so that you can still see some of the aesthetics from the iPhone 

Has a bit of protection if you drop the phone from short distances as long as its not front facing

Cons

 Not really a con, since this was "as designed" but if you drop your iphone front facing there's no protection to cover the glass

KOR ONE Hydration Vessel

I wont lie, this is probably the best water bottle hydration vessel I have ever drank with. The only setback is that the lid isn't that durable. A couple of weeks after I got this vessel, I accidently dropped it from a few feet off the staircase. Once it rolled off and hit the ground, the hinge on the lid broke off. So now the lid doesn't exactly close tightly enough that water won't seep out when I tip it over. Otherwise had it not broke, it really does feel awesome to use on a daily basis. Its quick to open and close and is one of the best looking water bottles out there that you can get.

Inside the cap when you open the lid, there are what Kor calls "Kor Stones", which are basically these caps with inspirational messages on them. The vessel comes with 2 "stones" and they're easy to replace.  

Pros

Stimulates conversations with passer-byers who have no idea what it is and why it looks so cool

Fairly easy to wash and clean 

Easy access push button to open 

Top handle for carrying 

Perfect Spout feels great on the lips every time you take a sip and is large enough to fit ice cubes 

Kor stones concept kinda cool

Good sized water bottle to last a while

Iron Man uses this hydration vessel

Has a grip on the bottom to prevent from slipping or moving around when placed on a table

Cons

Lid breaks easily 

Can't fit in a standard car cup holder

Would be more solid if the casing was one piece instead of separated pieces put together

dyson hot

A beatiful heater ...and a fan! I was contemplating to buy a dyson tower fan during the summer, but they're so pricey. But living in Vancouver as it is, I would only really use a fan during the summer time and the remaining of the seasons any fan I would get would simply be stored in my closet until I needed it again. So thinking long term, for the majority of the year what I really needed was a heater. A couple of months pass and the Dyson hot is announced (and bonus that its a fan too)...time to cash in! :) 

Life-lesson: Patience pays off.   

I've used the dyson hot for about 4 months now and here are my thoughts.

Pros

Elegant design, easy to use, safe, and easy to clean

If you touch the heater you can't really burn your hand even on max settings unless you leave it on there for half a minute or so

Warms up room fairly quickly 

Still really pricey for a heater in general 

Magnetic controller, which can be placed on top of the heater is pretty cool

Can tilt to adjust angle of heat

Precise control of heat 

Cons

Very loud

Temperature only goes up to 37 degrees Celsius

The materials its made out of don't feel like they're worth the price you paid for

The cord is brown for some reason

nitpicking, but the packaging it comes in is really hard to take out

LOOFEN LAH-01 Water Drop Disinfecting Humidifier

I came across this humidifier while I was watching a korean drama and then looked back at my own tiny, ugly cool mist humidifier that I had in my room. I was envious to say the least, but I took a screenshot of the humidifier and saved it on my computer in case for the future I might be able to get my hands on one. Unfortunately (or fortunately...) my own humidifier broke about a year later and I had an excuse to get a new one. Lightbulb moment* this Loofen LAH-01 came to mind...

Doing some research on Google, I was able to find out that I could purchase the humidifier off eBay, since its made in Korea. I've been using the humidifier for about 3 months now and I've been quite happy with it. Now on to my short and sweet review. 

Pros

Looks awesome! The casing material isn't just a solid colour; there's a subtle coating that makes it sparkle

Very easy to take apart and clean. 

Very simple to use and has 3 speeds, which you control by just pressing the power button. (Press once for a decent amount of mist, press again for less, press again for full power, and press one more time to turn it off. The colour of the power button also changes so you know the state of how much mist is being pushed through.  

Has a microfilter that purifies the mist coming out

The spout is detachable and can rotate 360 degrees making it very easy to manually adjust the direction

Uses only 35W of energy

Cons

Depending on use the humidifier runs out of water in about roughly 12 hours

You have to clean it every time you fill it up with water ( or its best practice if you do... which is kind of the same for every other cool mist humidifier) 

The power plug needs 220v of energy, which North American homes don't have, so you'll need to get a power converter to plug into your outlet when you use the humidifier

When water runs out, it makes a really loud (Beep Beep*) sound. Pretty much if you're a light sleeper and you leave it on over night and it runs out of water, it'll wake you up like an annoying alarm clock
