otherwise dubbed ‘the king of vampires’, valerian adorns a charming smile and holds himself with a charismatic confidence. with his long white hair and beckoning blue eyes, it's no wonder that he's garnered quite the reputation for his alluring, flirtatious behaviour.
he's adored by the monsters of his land as he ensures their safety, but younger vampires take quite the liking to him as he often opens his castle to teaching the ways of magic. compassionate to his people but powerful and ranking a frightful reputation to those that cross him. morally grey is a good way to put it.
a darker side lurks beneath those charming fangs. a deep rooted anger and conniving streak. an ever-growing hatred for human-kind and their incessant need to conquer and destroy. he is simply the villain that they wish him to be. he has no problem with holding himself as a terrifying, merciless vampire lord in their eyes.
despite his countless adoring and returning students and admiring or frightened monsters, however, valerian suffers from a great loneliness. a disconnect that his hollow heart tries to fill with teaching and politics— and sometimes art or rose gardening, but at the end of the day, when the dawn rises and he returns to his chambers, he is alone.
