As my husband prepares to return to work (part time) tomorrow it's hard to believe how ill he was. (Ken fell ill shortly after Thanksgiving Day and had surgery to remove his cancerous kidney on January 27.) This is a photo of Ken shortly after we arrived home on February 1st...he fell asleep moments after sitting down. I remember how overwhelmed I was in this moment. Overwhelmed not only in the love I have for my husband but also by the GRATITUDE I felt just to have him home again, to hear his breath as he slept in his recliner beside me. 💗 #kpg2 #gratitude

Ken has been home where he has been working on increasing his stamina. (Image from last days at MSHMC) Despite the removal of a kidney and a 5lbs tumor (😲!) he is doing great! He amazes me! Huge thanks to the surgical team for using all their expertise to bring my beloved husband through the surgery unscathed despite the HUGE cardiac risk! His heart is rapidly improving with the cancer removed. Thank you to EVERYONE for your prayers and positivity...
