Itās with a heavy heart to say Geechs has ended their contract with Sanrio and decided to move on from SB69. The game has instead transferred to Edia. The first changes of this shift will be made on the 1st of January, where the rights and logos will fall under the new developer. However, actual game play changes wonāt be effective until much later in February.
Sanrio moving onto a new developer will hopefully be for the better, as Geechs has actively ignored improving SB69 for a year now.
Saying this, we can no longer sugar coat the issue. SB69 is not doing well. Iām making this post not to cause fandom scare, but to reach out to you all in hopes you will continuing supporting this franchise, even in the smallest of ways. These are just some of the things you can do to show Sanrio not only you want the game to last, but the series as a whole to keep thriving.
Iāve listed things you can do for free, a long side the things people with extra spending money and a love for furries can consider doing.
like and RT things from the offical twitter.
playing at least one angel song a day.
joining in the events, even at the barest minimum. Event activity is something the devs monitor quite heavily. Events that are very active, show them the player base enjoy that type of event. Even if you dislike every single event they have, I really do encourage people to play a few songs to at least show them signs people are at least playing.
spending wisely in game. At your own discretion I add this one.
supporting the first hand market with buying directly from the Sanrio store.
supporting proxies who offer services to buy directly from stores.
stop supporting translations and illegal uploads of merch. This includes the uploaded musical files, drama CDs, and scanned images/translated images and text from books you may come across. Instead, all these DVDs and books are very easily bought off Amazon japan, who ship worldwide, and all this money goes directly to Sanrio and helps support them. Nothing is stopping you from privately having these items translated, but spreading them around there after is EXTREMELY harmful, and dissuades people from buying the original content.
content providers. Although translations of merch is harmful, translations of in game content is the opposite as this is all free to view content to begin with. This helps people become interested in what the game has to offer. Sadly, the japanese content providers are also leaving with the transfer news, broinfo have since put out this statement so if you wanted to save any card art, now is the time before they terminate their account.
spreading the word about SB69. Let people know about the game. The anime. The merch. Let people experience the joy that is this weird, furry band franchise.
Although the future is uncertain, I hope for the best that SB69 can continue onwards.
