Vaguely based on my current p c !! Specializing in fucking around and finding out, it’s compensated for its lack of strength and endurance with incredible magical prowess (and guns. mostly guns.) While not traditionally protective, or even friendly, it has a habit of keeping potions of shrinking on its person on the off chance one of its dumbass party members gets themselves maimed and is in need of someplace to recover without impeding him or directly facing the dangers of a dungeon. It has soft spots for certain party members, however, and will be much more gentle when proposing a rest

Vood I haven’t gotten out of my mind is possessive + protective preds and unwilling prey. Something about a pred gently hushing and lulling the frightened prey trapped in their belly, reassuring them, but keeping them trapped within their core all the same, be it for their own good or selfish reasons. The prey can feel their captors large hands kneading at them, their lips pressed against the flesh of their belly as they deliver soothing kisses from the outside. They croon so, so sweetly, almost sadly, that there’s no need to cry or tremble so, they would never hurt them. That they’re home now, safe and sound where nobody could ever reach them, and they’ll never, ever let them go

Sitting inside of a huge monster who tells you they will protect you and you are safe with them as they lick their belly…

You shiver within the belly of the beast, curled up within your fleshy prison. It’s dark and slimy…you’d been gobbled up so easily…you give a few small sobs, trying and failing to wipe the tears and slime from your face.

“Shhh…don’t cry, small one. You’re safe with me…”

You’re not sure if you should believe the creature. Even though they didn’t chew you up, and you had yet to suffocate or melt down in here. A low groan made you flinch, and you had no choice but to nestle into the balmy stomach lining. At the very least, it was soft, comfortable even with the slime.

“There, there, I’ve got you. I’ll protect you, human…”

You feel some odd, repeated pressure and hear faint slurping from outside. It takes you a moment to realize that the beast is licking you through their belly. It was…oddly soothing. Although you were trapped behind layers of flesh, fat, and muscle, you almost felt like a wolf pup being groomed by their mother. You couldn’t help but lean into the motions.

“That’s it, sweetie. Hush, now, I’ll take good care of you.”

The soft purrs of the monster and continued licking started to make you drift off a bit. Even the gurgling of their digestive tract felt like a lullaby, the gently churning gut cradling you. Despite your lingering fear, you felt that everything would be alright…

Mother Hen Preds. The prey is sleep deprived or just getting over a sickness and should be resting but they're a stubborn little shit. The pred sternly tells them to get to rest, the prey brushes it off and keeps working. The pred pins them down and gives them a final warning. When the prey refuses yet again, the pred scowls, then just opens their jaws and leans forward. The prey hastily tries to retract their refusal, but the pred is having none of it. They wrap themselves around the prey (1/?)

(2/?) and seeing as how the prey is already weakened from their sickness/sleep deprivation, they have no hope of escape. The pred is very gently, yet still firm, taking the preys head and shoulders into their mouth and easing them further in towards the throat, ignoring the protests. The prey is worn out before they’re even in up to their legs, their avoidance of sleep has really taken it’s toll. The prey goes limp in the preds grasp, and the pred takes notice and proceeds carefully, lifting the prey up slightly as they lean back to make swallowing easier. The prey slides down their throat and sinks down into the stomach, unintentionally relaxing into heated muscles that cradle them and knead lovingly at their exhausted form. They might make their annoyance known by shoving at the walls, but sleep is inescapable, and they succumb to the warmth quickly, sheltered and safe. Outside, the pred goes mostly still and focuses themself completely around their little passenger.They can feel every movement, from the little squirms and twitches as they sleep, the the steady shrink and swell of their little chest as they breath. The pred rolls onto their front slightly, not enough to crush the little form inside them, but enough to enhance the sensations. The sleeping prey squirms slightly at the sudden squish, but they go still again, only further soothed by the feeling of being tightly held. The pred is all to happy to ensure the prey gets their much needed rest.
