Wait guyss hear me coping but what if Zhongli's contract with Tsaritsa actually include the Shade of Death thing since we saw her going to fight Ronova. Maybe he wants to destroy the Death and free someone from erosion (since erosion leads an immortal being to death). You know who is the one suffering from erosion in Liyue? Yeah, Azhdaha. We already know that Zhongli tried to save him in the past but it was not enough. Maybe after Tsaritsa revealed her plan and asked for his gnosis, Zhongli would want to chip in as well.

Since the moon map is speedrunning dragons lore, we might see the potential of Azhdaha returning and come back to the story.

Zhongli and Tsaritsa are the only two on the board right now and the trailer shows that she is going to fight Ronova. He's probably will help her in that fight and gain something as per his contract. So Tsaritsa wants to save her son and Zhongli wants to save Azhdaha.

I mean why not? Moonchase festival is created to revive Zibai and Zhongli finally did save her recently. Now it's Azhdaha's turn.

'Abandoned by your own blood' is interesting line. While Wanderer is an artificial creation, shogun body is also made from the same way so technically they are the same blood/kin as well.
