My favorite dynamic of Miraak and LDB is like. Deeply upsetting for anyone else to observe in that they're Really Fucking Weird about each other. Like, matching each other's freak in ways that Deeply Disturb the public.

Really appreciate how Morrowind and Oblivion have different tiers of inns/taverns for different economic/social classes, at least in the bigger cities—something sorely missing in Skyrim. You cannot convince me that Nazeem and Farkas are going to the same tavern to drink.

They do this halfway in Whiterun by throwing in the Drunken Huntsman, but then weirdly keep that tavern fairly empty except for Jenassa in the corner. And Nazeem sleeps there, for some reason. But the Huntsman just doesn't have enough people in it to make it a convincing alternative to the Bannered Mare.

Solitude would definitely have a high-class tavern in addition to The Winking Skeever, and Markarth should have something in the middle tier as a cheaper alternative to the Silver-Blood Inn.

Windhelm is maybe the only city that does this decently well. Hate it or love it, but it is probably the Skyrim city that most feels like one of the bigger cities from the previous games. The Gray Quarter and the docks actually feel like a part of the city from the Stone Quarter. In Whiterun, the vibes do not change at all between the Plains District and the Wind District.

vilkas who has a lot of feelings for the dragonborn but holds back. he can't confess until he's certain that he's the best version of himself. trying to fix all his flaws and fill every gap in his knowledge to give them a worthy partner. praying that they'll wait for him, that they dont get bored and move on.

they're a figure of legends and he's just some man. he must forge himself into an ideal partner for them, someone that's earned a spot at their side.

poor dragonborn with a huge crush on vilkas who thinks he must not be interested. every time things get a little flirty he disappears. they dont know he's pushing his body to its limits trying to read historical texts and do push ups simultaneously.
