Welcome to my blog! I go by Vizh or Tobi. My other blog is @vizhionary
25+ she/her artist and maybe fanfic writer. Be warned, I may post suggestive things on this page.
I currently have 4 OCs intertwined in the same story which I’ve been drawing comics for. Click read more if you want to see their intros. Low quality visual reference pages at the end.
Feel free to ask me any questions or message me! I’ll do my best to answer :)
Alyanmir (LDB)
Alyanmir’s mother helped start the war, but despite her best efforts (including sending him to the best military university in Alinor) her son’s only true talent was restoration magic. He lacked the inner anger needed for destruction magic and warfare.
However restorationists are good for spying on the enemy as they are too useful to rot in prison. Alyanmir only lasted 3 days before the time spent with the illusionist supervising him made him abandon his mission and change his world view.
Ultimately with his Aldmeri warfare education, he became very useful for the empire and quickly rose in the ranks. His wife gave birth while he was out on a work related assignment and she did not make it. Her father blamed Aly for her death and refused to allow him to see his daughter. After much internal turmoil, he agreed it was for the best so the Aldmeri Dominion would not find out about her. They write as often as possible.
25 years later, somehow his daughter managed to get an assignment in Skyrim away from her grandfather and the Thalmor found out she’s his daughter. He requests leave for the first time in 25 years and immediately sets out to Skyrim to get her back.
To his surprise she is not a prisoner, a young thalmor agent has very closely befriended her, she is convinced he has changed and since he’s never met her before he actually has less rapport with her than the enemy.
While he would like to dedicate 100% of his time to getting her away from him, she’s not in immediate danger and seems happier than he’s ever been. Meanwhile a civil war is about to break out, dragons keep appearing and killing everyone around him (are they speaking or is he losing his mind from stress?), and the nords keep telling him some monks are demanding he climb a mountain to speak with them. It’s hard for man so dedicated to sacrificing his happiness to do the most moral and ethical option to not consider it selfish to ignore the other perils in favor of his daughter.
Marielle (“The Breton”)
Marielle Montax is the granddaughter of “Montax the Rioter”, a powerful illusionist who became well known for his unprecedentedly powerful frenzy spells on the battlefield during the Great War. He raised her in the halls of the High Rock university he presided over with an iron fist.
After a wayward elf knocked up his beloved daughter and left her alone to die during child birth, he was aggressively protective of his granddaughter. As soon as she turned 13 any boy she expressed interest in or vice versa was swiftly transferred away or scared into ignoring her leaving Marielle quite inexperienced in the art of romantic affairs.
She has always been a powerful mage and an early bloomer. In fact, at 6 she grievously injured herself and another student at the university when she was imitating them practicing their fire spells. The affair has left her hesitant to practice and use destruction magic. She specializes in illusion magic as she is intended to be the next Montax the Rioter and restoration magic perhaps as a homage to the father she was not allowed to meet.
While her grandfather did not allow her father to see her, they wrote as frequently as the courier came and it was great practice and inspiration for her to work on her Altmeris. Her childhood fantasies often involved running away from high rock and finding her father somewhere in imperial city where he (as she believed) taught magic and sold restoration scrolls.
Eventually she does manage to get an assignment doing research in Skyrim (her grandfather was away on travel and the interim mage had always pitied her). Despite being 25, she has little worldly experience outside of the university and has a lot to learn on her adventures through Skyrim.
She is, however, and always will be an illusionist and does her best to keep the upper hand with twists and turns despite her selective naiveté.
Valinimo
Unlike Alyanmir, Valinimo has been a perfect example of the Thalmor goals his entire life. In fact, he’s one of the youngest mer to have been promoted to Justiciar. It was matter of pride for his family for him to be assigned to Skyrim, so he’s totally not upset to be in such a backwater place.
He’s proud, has a superiority complex (ie typical thalmor behavior), very prissy, snobby, a bit of a fashionista, does not like being dirty, sleeping outdoors or anything else that’s beneath him. He’s an excellent destruction mage.
His superiors decided a young justiciar would likely have the best chance at befriending the young Breton they need for leverage over a high ranking member of the imperial army. He’s been in Skyrim long enough to know how to not be entirely unpleasant with humans and he’s actually ran into her a few times.
Unlike Alyanmir, Valinimo does not struggle much with keeping the purpose of his mission in mind. She’s under the impression he’s following her to steal research and then that he’s reporting on more diverse information than he would be able to just following his standard patrol.
He is building a relationship on manipulation, control, lies and possession. While he may be charming and have some genuine moments and grow to enjoy the assignment, he will continue to do bad things such as “disappearing” the young Breton mage from high rock that came to see her.
Any softening and sympathies he may be developing quickly are wiped free when Alyanmir arrives unexpectedly in person from Skyrim in attempt to get him away from his daughter.
