Yayy part one!

I have so many mixed feelings with this, but I hope you guys enjoy it! Part two will be my next post priority.

Up until this point, the general idea of this comic has just been a bunch of little sketches from well over a year ago. Satoru was orginally supposed to be on Suguru's shoulder the whole time, but that would've made the angles even stranger😭

Also damn, is page six claustrophobic or what compared to the rest?!

Satoru's size is giving me so many challenges, but I brought this on myself. Though I'm happy to say page six has grown to be one of my favorites by the end.

This comic is going to be the longest one l've made so far, and I probably chose the worst way to go about drawing it.... *ahem* preserving the lineart

The story updated right while I was drawing this, and I ended up stopping to read it. It was a great chapter as always… glad I stayed up.

I drew this as some practice to see if I could draw hands without tracing photos.

I felt like I'd been posting a lot of angst lately, so I really wanted to draw some pure fluff for a change… …They seem way more intimate than they are in the story right now, but let's just say this is from a bit further in the timeline.

In all seriousness, and not just in g/t, I love that "more than friends, less than lovers" vibe. Not much raw or suggestive feeling yet (I know everyone’s standards for that are different), but just sweet, intimate closeness and flirting. I want them to give and get lots of headpats and hugs…

Also, the trope of "the giant character trying their absolute best to be careful so they don't hurt or crush the tiny one"… honestly, that's just the best thing ever.

By the way, I think I went a bit too far and made Trevor way too buff again… even though it has absolutely nothing to do with the main focus of this drawing. … …Well, same as always!

I wanted to keep him as accurate to the movie as possible, but y'know, still a person.

I also imagine in the first scene where he is captured, he would be wearing a cloak that made him look like an actual rat (mainly for plot reasons) Actually, probably when he goes out borrowing in general. The entire clan just wears really realistic rat capes when they go out.

Just thinking about hands in g/t.

Had this one in the drafts for a bit. Given my current Long Walk obsession - ain’t no g/t media being made- I’ll free this one.

A single part of their body, and it spans longer than your entire form. Fingers matching your height, or perhaps they’re even longer, each singular length containing more strength than your entire body. One is all it takes to pin your form down, helpless under their digit. Or they could wrap around your body entirely, like a snake or massive vines. Holding you in a tight, almost crushing, grasp. Your arms pinned by your side, and your legs bent straight down. Completely immobilized.

But despite the massive strength they posses, despite their ability to crush you in an instant if they so pleased, they are so incredibly gentle with you. Every time their hand approaches, their fingers are relaxed, and their palm looks soft. They carefully surround your form and close in, but not enough to touch you. They then carefully tilt their hand back in a scooping position, making you fall back onto it, and then place their thumb softly against your chest, as if a weighted blanket had been placed on top of you - even their most delicate movements held an overpowering strength that you couldn’t ignore.

A heat almost immediately surrounds your form. It was so warm, nearly overwhelming, as if you were placed in front of a heater. Then they began to lift you up, and your body immediately became weightless as they carried you. No matter how many times you've experienced this, you could never become used to it. Used to the feeling of how small you actually were to them. It was terrifying, but oh how you loved it.

I have a question, how did they meet. Like did suguru see satoru borrowing from him or something else and what were they thinking when they first saw each other. ps your art is fucking amazing, if it was a food it would be better than gordon ramsays cooking, your amazing.

I've been dying to finally write the scene where they first met, and your guess is actually quite close to what I wanted to have happen. I think at first Suguru wold only see him for a second in a case where Satoru wasn't being careful enough. Suguru would be shocked ofc, but I think he'd take the reality that tiny people exist quite well compared to most. He'd sort of understand Satoru's position, and he's the type to mind his own business, so it's not like he'd actively seek him out after discovering him.

Satoru would end up getting into lots of trouble and a handful of situations where he nearly dies, so when Suguru eventually spots him in said situation, he wouldn't hesitate to save him. There's no doubt Satoru would sustain some injuries and subsequently have difficulties getting around, so he would end up encountering Suguru more times than he would like. I think in a pivotal moment where Satoru ends up hurting himself more from trying to get away from him that Suguru realizes he should just let him go despite wanting to help. But these interactions between them would ultimaty leave Satoru curious and maybe even willing to ask him for help, sooo ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
