i hate to do this again, but i don't want to keep everyone hanging, and it's looking like i'm not going to be able to fulfill the rest of the signups this round. chronic pain is ✨ kicking my ass ✨ to the point where i haven't been able to sit at my desk to use my computer for weeks 💔
i'm realizing, unfortunately, this event format isn't super feasible for me anymore. BUT i still want to run events in a way that's more manageable. so for future events, i'll most likely be offering card templates and a list of prompts you'll be able to use however you wish (as opposed to opening signups and sending out individual cards). you'll be free to hand-pick your own prompts or copy down the list into a randomizer, whichever you'd prefer.
in the meantime i'd like to recommend a few active event hubs i have experience with, which are welcoming to the a wide range of creations:
july break bingo - "A massive multi-fandom bingo that runs ALL JULY LONG."
Hi! I was wondering if the bingo is going to happen this year because I’m interested in joining the event.
hi! unfortunately i don't have the bandwidth to run bingo right now but i'd like to pick it up again some time in the future for sure!
if you're looking for an open event with similar "anything goes" guidelines i can direct you to @julybreakbingo, they run big a yearly event & more throughout the year in their discord server!
NOTE: I am not a mod, I'm just an enthusiastic participant who is more on tumblr than they are.
Mini FAQ from the mods below!
"Does the fill have to be sexual?"
There are no rating requirements! For example, 'human furniture' is still a kink even if it doesn't require explicitly sexual acts. You're also welcome to prompt/fill scenarios where the characters are unaware it's a kink scenario and the only people excited about it are us here, reading/viewing it.
"Is X a rare kink?"
There's no specific requirement, but if you're unlikely to get X in an exchange as a gift without a very lucky match, it probably belongs here. This can be heavily fandom-specific.
"Which fandom do I use to request Creator's Choice of Fandom?"
Unspecified Fandom!
"Can I re-prompt stuff from previous years?"
Reprompting is absolutely fine! Old RKBs are still open but obviously this set will suddenly have new eyes on it, so take advantage of it.
Inspired by various posts showcasing people's stats, I wanted to get a base average for user stats. If you wish to contribute, please fill in the following form!
This form intends to gather data in order to establish the baseline of what are the overall stats for the average AO3 writer. If you wish to
The data obtained will be fully anonymous and only used as a part of a whole dataset. If you know someone who would be interested in filling it in, feel free to share it around! Thank you <3
This doesn't have to be done on specific days or consecutively, if you want to join you can do it whenever you have time. If you don't want to do one of them, you can skip it.
Day 1: Closet
Day 2: Scare
Day 3: Flowers
Day 4: Ex
Day 5: Music
Day 6: Secret
Day 7: Candy
(This is the first time I've ever done one of these, so I'm sorry if it's weird or wrong lol)
Sweetheart Bingo is a Valentine’s Day-centric event based on conversation hearts! In the spirit of Sweet & Spicy Bingo, we have ‘sweet’ prompts (SFW), ’spicy’ prompts (NSFW), and ‘sour’ prompts (negative). There’s also an optional A-spec Expansion™, sourced from your local aromantic mod. Prompts are short, simple, and entirely up to interpretation.
Signups: January 1st-22nd
Posting Period: February 1st-29th
As requested, for this year I've provided some blank cards & the list of prompts so you can do whatever you'd like with them! You can find both linked in the event info. The AO3 collection is still open as well, so feel free to add to it 💗

AO3 has recently seen a rise in guest spambot comments making false accusations about work creators or other users. For example, they may claim that a particular user is discriminating against minorities, trying to hide the fact that they use AI, or are at risk of having their works stolen or deleted.
These comments often copy existing AO3 usernames in order to make their accusations seem more legitimate. They may also try to lure people onto other platforms (similar to the art commission scam), or use fake links that actually lead to pornographic images.
As always, we recommend that you do not click on any suspicious links or give your contact information to scammers. Instead, simply mark the comments as spam or report them so that the Policy & Abuse committee can remove comments left by these spambots.
Learn how to recognize them and what to do below the cut!
How to recognize this kind of spam:
The comments come from guests, not logged-in users.
The comments may start with praise for you and your writing, trying to lull you into a false sense of security. Or they may claim that you are a bad writer, trying to make you too upset to realize that the comments are fake.
The comments may accuse you or another user of promoting discriminatory beliefs, deceiving fans, or similar behaviors that might cause other people to shun or harass the accused individual. They may claim that they checked social media to find that the accused user is "brazenly sharing hateful content" or "bragging about using AI".
The comments are often pleading or angry, asking you to "stop lying to your readers", "don't remove the AI prompts from your work", or suggesting that you "consider adding more diverse characters" to "repair the trust you've lost with your audience".
So far, these comments have all been from guests. Our advice is to flag them as spam to better filter them out.
To help train our automated spam-checker to block similar guest comments in the future:
If the comment is on your own work:
Go directly to the comment on your work, either by clicking on the link in your email or in your AO3 inbox.
Click on the "Spam" button to mark the guest comment as spam and remove it from your work.
Note: The "Spam" button only appears when viewing a guest comment directly on your work. This is because the AO3 comment inbox is merely a copy of the work's comments – deleting a comment from your AO3 inbox does not delete the comment from the work itself.
If you see comments like these on someone else's work:
Feel free to let the creator know the comment is from a bot, and that they should mark it as spam.
You can also report the comments as botspam via the Policy Questions & Abuse Reports form linked at the bottom of every page on AO3.
If you are reporting multiple guest comments, please submit only one report, and include all comment links in your report description. (You can get the direct link to any comment by clicking the "Thread" button on the comment, and then copying the URL of that page.)
As of December 2025, bots have also left guest comments harassing users by:
threatening to report you/your fic to the authorities or your employers
alleging security concerns like your email being compromised or spyware on your computer
claiming that they know your address and are going to visit you at your house
saying that you will die alone and unemployed over the holidays
What these bots claim is not true. These accusations do not mean your work will be deleted or that your accounts are insecure. We recommend that you mark these comments as spam following the instructions in our previous post.
These examples also do not represent the full range of harassment comments that you may receive. We will continue to try and keep you updated about trends; however, please note that the exact wording the bots use will continue to evolve.
If you're not sure if something is a spambot comment, you're welcome to contact Policy & Abuse for assistance. Refer to the original post for more information!
As of January 2026, bots impersonating legitimate users have increasingly left guest comments harassing other users by:
claiming that they know where you live
alleging to have seen you in person
threatening to meet you face-to-face
saying that they posted your personal information (name, address, etc) online
What these bots claim is not true. These comments are likely intended to alarm you into replying. We recommend that you mark these comments as spam following the instructions in our previous post.

Hi ! I noticed you had created a Sweetheart Bingo last year :3 Would you be okay with redoing it again but the way you did the Kink Bingo ? Us having the templates of the cards available and the prompts and we can create our own cards so you don't have to make them yourself ? Hope you had a good time during the holidays and have a nice day !
Hi! I could definitely do something like that, not right this moment as I'm dealing with some health stuff but I will see about next week 🙏
In the meantime there are the pre-made sample cards from last year if you're just looking for some prompts 💕

Introducing "No Romo" Fest: a creative celebration of aromanticism 💚
Let's celebrate Valentine's Day with our own definition of love (or a lack thereof)! No Romo Fest is a creative event taking place from February 8th to 14th, open to anyone and everyone who would like to center aromanticism in their work.
Works can be posted under the #no romo fest tag and/or in the AO3 collection throughout the week.
Guidelines & (optional) prompts below the cut:
Guidelines
Works must feature aromanticism in some way.
All fanworks & original works are welcome. (RPF is also fine as long as the subject is a public figure ❤️)
Prompts are optional and up to interpretation.
Works must be your own; plagiarism and AI-generated works are forbidden.
There are no content restrictions, but please include relevant content warnings on your work.
Cross-posting to other events is okay as long as the other event allows it.
Lastly, do not police other creators’ interpretations of aromanticism; it is a broad identity that can mean many different things to different people.
Prompts
aroace / aroallo
partnering / non-partnering
friendship / family
self discovery / coming out
non-monogamy / relationship anarchy
lovequeer / loveless
pride flag / green & white
Discussion Prompts
(Although the event is open to all, these are meant for arospec individuals specifically!)
What does aromanticism mean to you?
How did you discover your arospec identity?
Do you identify with any more specific labels, or "just aro"?
As you may unfortunately be aware, scammers are currently flooding fanfiction comments with art commission scams (more info on the scam and what to look out for here). And we're absolutely sick of it. So here's our solution! Fanart Frenzy - an event designed to counteract these scammers and their impact on the fanfiction community, as well as raise awareness of their evolving scams.
What is Fanart Frenzy?
Fanart Frenzy is a month-long bingo event designed to bring a wave of fanfiction-inspired fanart into the community, entirely free and unsolicited, as fandom is supposed to be, in order to stem the flow of these scammers, encourage our favorite fic writers, and liven up our fandoms. Our first event will take place from January 1-31, 2026.
How does it work?
You can sign up via our sign up form! In late December, we'll send out bingo cards to each participant with prompts guiding you towards fics in your fandom to make art for. (Ex. Make art for a fic with no comments). Throughout January, you can make as few or as many pieces of art as you like - you can aim for a bingo, a blackout, or just pick one fic you really want to make art for. Post your work anywhere you'd normally post it, then share it with the writer and the Fanart Frenzy community.
Can't draw?
No worries! This event is about all kinds of art, not just traditional art - everything from playlists to gif sets to cookies to fiber arts, memes, and more. Anything artistic you can do inspired by a fanfic is perfect for this event.
If you don't enjoy making art, the event also includes a Comment Challenge! During sign up, you can choose a bingo card with only art-related prompts, only commenting-related prompts, or a mix of the two. Non-artists can participate alongside artists by following the prompts to find fics in their fandoms in need of thoughtful, kind comments. (Ex. Leave a comment on a fic you've reread.)
You can also help us out by spreading the word! Please tell your friends and fandom communities about our event!
If you’d like to join our event team as an official promoter in your fandom(s), please indicate your interest in our entry form! If we have an opening for someone in your fandom, we'll get in touch! More info on becoming a promoter and what that entails here.
Before the event starts, please join us on our discord server, follow us here on tumblr or on reddit and bluesky!
Have any questions, concerns, or comments? Please drop them here or send us a message and we'll answer as soon as possible!
As promised, here are some Winter Edition cards for the holiday season! The prompts are all the same as last year's, and as usual, you're free to use them however you'd like.
Join us in the 2025 12 Days of Christmas Challenge as we hope to spread a little ✨holiday joy and cheer✨ through the magic of writing fanfiction & creating art!
About & Rules
The challenge runs from December 13-24, 2025.
The challenge is open to any and all fandoms, including (but not limited to) RPF, x reader fics, OCs, original writing, etc.
The challenge is also open to all kinds of art: drawings, edits, aesthetics, mood boards, videos, podfics, fiber arts… go wild!
Submissions must include at least one of the prompts for that day, but can combine two or even all three.
Prompts for the day always include: a Movie AU, a scenario, and a word prompt. The prompted movie does not need to be used in its entirety - loosely inspired by or even just a selected scene is enough.
Tag your submissions with #12daysofchristmas2025 and/or mention this blog so we will be notified to reblog your submissions here. (Also, it would be super cool if you gave this blog a follow!)
Submissions for the day must be posted before midnight YOUR time. We're not overly strict about this rule, but posting within the time frame is greatly appreciated!
If you’re posting your submission directly on Tumblr (as opposed to linking to an external site such as AO3), you MUST use a “keep reading” cut!
!! Absolutely NO AI creations !!
To make reblogging easier for us, please format your submissions like this or at least in a similar style:
Title
Day/Prompt(s)
Fandom/Character(s)/Ship
Warnings (if applicable):
Word Count/Medium (in case it's art):
Example:
Santa, Baby
Day 8 - “Prompt(s) for that day”
AEW - Adam Page x OC
Warnings: Alcohol, cursing, sexual situations (explicit)
Word Count: 7,290
or: Medium: fan video
Of course, you can also include a summary, a gif, a picture, an edit, whatever you want! Just don’t forget the “keep reading” if you’re posting directly on Tumblr!

Welcome to Dead Bingo Club or DBC for short! This is a monthly event where on the first of every month a bingo card will be posted with prompts to choose from!
Each bingo card will be 3x3 which means nine (9) prompts in total! Bingo is counted as getting three in a row (vertical, horizontal, or diagonal), Four Corners is counted as getting all four corners, Bingo Plus is counted as getting everything but the corners, and Blackout is filling the entire board!
All fandoms are welcome to participate in this event! You can also post original works if you wish! Writing, art, edits, and anything you wish is allowed! If choosing to write for ANY real person fiction (RPF) fandom, it should not involve any real underage (seventeen and younger) individuals.
Thank you for sharing the templates and prompts so we can still participate, that was a nice idea. Just to make sure, is it fine to post on the AO3 collection if we make our own cards, as long as the prompts are from the list? Anyway, hope life is gentler to you now.
Yes! And the collection will remain open indefinitely as they do for the other events.
