PARIS SUMMER MINI TRIP #1
SYNOPSIS: Temmy, wtf is this you may ask?! I’ll tell you! I briefly mentioned the group taking a little Europe trip during rmtm so here it is! Just two chapters of it atleast in rhea and cam’s pov.
It’s two chapters! From Paris to Monaco!
The Monaco chapter is the crazier one. This one was a bit sweet I suppose x.
And with the group being so freaking dysfunctional lately I wanted to show some content of them. Yes. I’m aware I’m amazing, yes you may still tell me. This isn’t the only Rhameron bonus I have coming too!
Enjoy!! Ily all sm. Mwah.
I blinked a couple times, opening my eyes to the light streaming through my crispy white curtains. “Mmm…” I snuggled closer to Cameron who smiled against my cheek, we were cuddling and well, it was one of the best things ever.
“Time to get up, princess.” Cameron predicted what I was going to say.
“Mind-reader.” I turned around in his arms then sat up, my simple black satin nightgown brushed my thighs as I stood up and adjusted my blonde ponytail.
Cameron sat up groggily, his hair perfect even after sleep, his sun-kissed beige skin clear and glowing which is to be expected since he has a 15 step skincare routine I watched him do last night. I was absolutely positively in love with my former enemy and the biggest narcissist to exist.
My eyes slipped to his lean toned body, rigid muscles stared back at me.
Cameron gave that cocky smile. “It’s okay to stare, i’d stare at the pinnacle of perfection too.”
I sighed. “You wake up and here you go, narcissism on.”
He flopped back down and put his hands behind his head. “Ah, my mistake then, Valedictorian.”
We’d both graduated in may, it was now june, and with me being valedictorian just like I fucking knew I would be. Rhea was and would always be the best. I was so proud of myself it was on every social media I had, Columbia Valedictorian, Columbia law student.
I mean I had to flex it, cmon.
Plus, Cam and I tended to post each other a lot, showboating our love I suppose. There wasn’t one person who could doubt what we had, he loved me loudly and proudly on every platform there was and after a lifetime of us fighting our love was so…sweet…almost too sweet but I adored every bit of it, and him. Though his narcissistic personality did still annoy me to no end, sometimes I'd come to accept it, and if it got too out of control then I'd check him, but everyone knew what to expect from him.
We lived together now, and were homebodies who just loved being around each other. Our souls were connected, tethered in so many ways.
My gaze went out of the window to the eiffel. “So many people have this place as the destination of love.” I stared at the big figure. “I’ve been here so many times I know the truth.”
Paris used to be the city of love for me but I think after Sydney’s wedding in Cannes that was where I liked most in France. Though of course I still adored Paris but with him…any city could be the city of love as long as we existed within it.
Cameron had gotten up from the bed and circled his arms around me from behind, so close in height, never too far. “And what’s the truth?”
I laid my arms over his. “Paris isn’t love, it’s who you experience it with that makes it love.”
My boyfriend turned me around, his breath fanned my lips. “And who makes it love?”
I could barely restrain a smile. “Ah, well…”
His hand slid down and gripped my ass, not huge at all and sometimes hed say I was flat but it was all teasing, and sometimes I called him skinny which he also laughed at (but would argue he was in better shape)
A teasing lilt turned my voice. “C'est toi. C'est grâce à toi que j'aime Paris. Je ne l'avais jamais autant aimée avant que nous soyons ici tous les deux.”
You. You make paris love for me. I've never loved it as much till it was you and me here.
Those hazel depths filled with affection. “Je t'aime plus que tout au monde. Ma princesse dorée, tu es tout pour moi.”
I love you more than anything. My golden princess, you're it for me.
From ice princess to golden princess who would’ve known?
My smile radiated like the sun, a smile I never thought I’d give him but here I was giving it. “Is it still our universe?”
“That we’re the gods of? Hell yeah, baby.” Cameron laid his lips on mine.
And I kissed him back, morning breath and all, my hands held the sides of his face as he kissed me with power, the soft kind…if possible to say, my heart burst at the seams and he was there to repair it with his lips.
As our kiss progressed with him dominating it more in each way I was walked backwards to the bed with his hands roaming my body. Cameron pulled back just to shove me down.
“I think my lovely little slut deserves a good waking up, yeah?” Cameron smirked at me.
“And how will I get my gift?” I blinked up at him.
Cameron’s smirk deepened, holding fantasies and promises of rough fucking and bondage. But our moment was interrupted by our bedroom door flying open.
Salem had kicked it open with a black combat boot. “GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD MORNING!”
His voice boomed and I blinked twice at him in mild annoyance, Cameron lifted a brow, he had done this every morning since everyone had come to the city.
We were staying at one of my mom’s houses, the entire group, since my paris flat didn’t have enough space for everyone and we didn’t want to be separated by a hotel.
Salem rubbed his neon green dyed buzzcut, well it was grown out now so it was neon green frosted tips on platinum blonde hair. “My dearest friends and favourites in the group, were you about to fuck?”
Cameron smiled. “Yeah.” While I said, “Mind your business.”
“Ooh, la, la,” Salem wiggled his brows, pulled a cigarette from his ear and lit it up with a skull lighter. “Can I watch?” He rubbed a hand over his crotch with a wink. “I need to do my morning rub out.”
“Sure.” Cameron played along, “Chair is free.” He jerked his head to the side.
I sent my boyfriend an icy look. “Richard.”
I was suddenly flipped over and he spanked me hard three times in a row.. “Don’t.” Spank. “Call” Harder spank. “ Me.” A tug on my ponytail. “Richard.”
Heat skittered across my entire face and between my legs pulsated with need. He was so sexy I could barely take it most days and that was an insanely hot thing.
Get it together, Rhea. You have company. I tried to will my head out of the submissive space it would quickly fall into and sat up, I crossed my legs and folded my arms over my chest.
“Oooooh.” Salem entered the room more. “Let me get off my pants first.”
Cameron tossed a pillow at him. “Joking, man.”
Salem pouted, blew smoke from his nose. “I would have watched for real.” He whistled and was about to flop onto my bed but Cameorn shook his head for him not too. He rubbed a hand on his white tank top and when he spun around a silver chain on his black cargos clanked. “Come on lovebirds, everyone wants to go out, we have sightseeing to do.”
And his cigarette smoking in my room would set off my OCD, I watched him puff a cloud then suddenly Cameron was pushing him out.
“No smoking in our room, go away prince,” Cameron slammed the door on his face and I smiled.
He banged on it. “Whatever, gods! Come on out! We want breakfast and sightseeing!”
“Am I the sight to be seen?” Cameron bantered, opening the door again.
Salem entered again and lifted his brows. “Yes, master.”
Cameron pinned Salem to the wall with his body and they both made faces like they were going in for a kiss just to turn away at the last second, Salem saluted me and left after that while I rolled my eyes.
“Time to go out, huh?” I stood up and went over to where he was.
He turned to face me. “We have a city to see before our train ride to Monaco.” He yanked me close to him. “Don’t be jealous, babe. You have my heart in a way no one else has.”
I loved hearing that. “And you love me?”
"Like a lion loves his lioness.” He nipped my bottom lip with his teeth. “Toujours.” Always.
Weirdly, I loved the sound of that.
Again. Who would have thought?
After showering together, and also admittedly also having sex where I was blindfolded, Cameron and I were late to lunch by thirty minutes at the breakfast place I'd chosen for us all last night.
But I did make the reservation, so according to Cam and I’s standards we could be late. Which turned into him ranting about us being gods and allowed to be late.
I was dressed amazing, if I did say so myself a simple black mid-thigh dress, thin black sunglasses, dropping pearl earrings and Chanel flats.
And naturally, my iconic sleek low ponytail. No bun.
Cameron in a white silk flowing shirt and tan slacks with open toe sandals. And a few gold thin chain bracelets and a necklace that matched. And of course, Valentino sunglasses.
The brand name clear as day.
Cameron’s hand was in mine. “Quelle table as-tu choisie?” Which table did you choose? He removed the shades.
I nodded at a person who recognized me as Leonora Moreau’s daughter before replying. “La terrasse avec vue sur la Tour Eiffel, c'est le top, tu le sais bien.” The terrace level with the Eiffel view, it's the best you know that.
Cameron tilted his head. “Oui, oui, princess. So demanding.”
I was a bit sheepish. “Bad thing?”
“No, you’re calmer with me, more easy-going.” He said it plainly. "Look at you, thirty minutes late to brunch and you haven’t flipped a lid.” A sandy golden-brown piece of hair swished on his head.
I pushed it back into place. “I suppose. A little hypocritical, right? I’d be mad if they were late.”
Which was true. Because…be on time.
And here I was, late. I’d flip a lid if this was me months ago but now I was more open. I guess. Love does that to you.
Cameron kissed me deeply as we stepped up to the terrace level of Le Petit Matin. “It’s paris, On s'en fout, non ?” who gives a fuck?
I looked at him dead on. “Are we suddenly I dont give a fuck people?”
“We can ease into it, baby, little by little.”
We both suddenly laughed, we were not i dont give a fuck people. We gave plenty of them, though I suppose we did care about eachother most of all.
Does that make us i don’t give a fuck people? Maybe.
I mean gods ruling some universe care about themselves most? Right?
And now I sound like Cameron. My love has rubbed off on me.
Kim waved us over. “Guys! Here!” Hard to miss the pale arm and violet strands of black hair. Also her outfit….very hard to miss the outfit.
A top made out of purple watches and blue jeans with a purple beret, chunky amethysts hung off her neck.
Rafe stood and slammed both his hands on the table with a cheeky grin, his gold chains swung on his neck over his graphic tee. “Late ass motherfukers.” He jabbed a light brown finger at me and my boyfriend. “That’s it, we have to hang you.”
Salem put his combat boots up on the table and leaned back on his chair. “Let them be late, the fun doesn’t start till they come anyway.” He wagged his pierced brows.
Like ususal, he was dressed like an empire punk rockstar with his black leather pants, jacket, and t shirt with the UK flag on it.
Cameron smirked. “Ooh La,La, the fun doesn’t start till I’m here?”
“Till you get me naked, master.” Salem wagged his brows even more.
“Keep calling me master I’ll have you under the table on your knees.”
“I’ll be a better sub than Rhea, promise.”
“Don’t go tempting me prince. I may have only kissed two men but I’m sure I’ll know what to do with you.”
I glared at him. “You’re mine.” I pulled his arm hard and his eyes lit up at my stupid jealousy. I was just annoyed.
He rubbed his nose against mine and mumbled in French about how he owned me and that would never change.
“You two are weird as shit it makes me want to throw up.” Rafe gagged.
I nodded at Kim and the girls. “Sorry, we got busy.”
Cameron left me to greet him with a slap on the back before pulling out his chair and sitting. “Hanging? Well…. I did just hang Rhea’s arms above her head so…”
I sat down beside him and whacked him in the arm.
It was true but ugh we did not need that announced. And he always did. Making me blush and get embarrassed each time.
Dani put her hands together, her innocent looking face wore a grin. “Well, it wasn’t too late, we haven’t even ordered yet so you’re fine.”
“Thanks, Bambi.” Her sweetness eased me like no other. I glanced down at my napkin on the plate and rearranged it, just once.
Daniela smiled at me, even brighter, huge green eye shimmering. “No problem.”
She reached over the table and held up hand that was on it before letting go and adjusting her pale yellow sundress and her sage green headband which had a sunshine flower stitched on it all around.
“So how was all the stuff with your mom and sister, Sydney yesterday?” She asked. “Anything you want to share…need advice on?”
I thought for a second. “Sydney is loving the married life so far, um, not much with my mom and me we are good, and Camille is good too, away on her super secret movie…”
“You can’t say where the shoot, is right?” Cameron said.
“To the public.” I looked at Dani who was curious. “They’re shooting in Iceland.”
“Ooh.” She nodded to herself. “Juicy. Anything else?”
“So curious.” Sarcasm was thick in my voice but I was teasing her. “Who are you today, curious George? So many questions.
She blushed and waved her hand and said a soft, “Rhea, stop it.” She giggled.
I could see the head of dark curls hidden behind the menu she was holding up. “Glad the self proclaimed gods of the group have joined us.”
“Self proclaimed means true.” Cameron bragged, “let’s not get it twisted.”
Amara lowered it and glanced at me, she was sporting a thin light brown flowy summery satin mini dress with prints on it.
“We got held up.” I swallowed then nodded. “Hey.”
“Hey.” She gave me a small nod, her gold hoop earring brushed her cheek when she turned her head a bit.
At least she said hi back. That was a small win I suppose?
It was my first time seeing her since after the other’s graduation and she’d moved in with Kim. Well besides her birthday dinner which had had passed on the 11th.
Other than that, no. And well…I’d left early from that. She just wasn’t talking to me so I ditched with Cameron.
I was a new grad as was Kim, Rafe, and Juda had graduated a whole semester early before all of us right before our Aspen trip last December.
Amara and Dani was this December, and Salem…I had no idea what he was doing, I think he was taking a gap semester, who knew if he’d ever even finish. Id say he was focused on soccer but truth was that he was not.
I hadn’t been over to their new place.
I suppose I couldn’t stomach it yet. I mean yeah, I had moved in with Cameron but…I just hadn’t been over yet. Did she like it better there?
We didn’t talk or text outside of the Jems and friend stuff. She said give her time but how much time did she need? I just wanted her back. And then I didn’t.
We fought nearly every time we spoke.
My eyes went to her boyfriend. “Morning, Juda.”
Juda had his arm around the back of her chair. He lifted two fingers in a silent hello over her arm. His casual dressing of the day was a navy t-shirt and black slacks.
He pointed out something on the menu and she pointed at something totally different just to spite him. He smiled. She didn’t and rolled her eyes. But a little blush stuck to her cheeks.
The waitress came up, already recognizing me and the girls. We came here before. “Order?” She said in French.
I glanced at the menu and Cameron and I pointed to the same thing at the same time. We smiled. He pressed his forehead to mine sweetly and I melted while blushing. We were one in the same.
He was my greatest and only love, like a piece of my rib.
Cameron nudged his nose with mine. “Princess, look at us, so similar, no?”
“So similar.” I had to grin. “You made for me?”
“A god could only be with a god.” He spoke sexily. “Of course.”
We ordered, then the other couple did, then well—everyone did.
And in Paris because of my step mom and mom I was a hot commodity, same with Amara—model and all, and Kim had started to get recognized for her designs more. Though I suppose Dani had not. Plant blogging and soft girl influence had no buzz over in Europe.
Salem got noticed a lot, as well as Rafe who’d just signed with the NY Guardians. And more people know juda’s face because of his girlfriend, and Cameron had more attention because of me.
He loved it though, yesterday he had a photo op in front of bunch of paparazzi that had followed us yesterday, camping outside of my moms shoot warehouse.
The girls were there, model was working, the other going around and Dani kept typing away on her phone, I think making a blog post? But she always did that.
Cameron immediately said to her, “The witch it’s impatient? You spend a great deal of your time casting spells so waiting a few minutes should be nothing.”
I elbowed him. He knew I was hoping we’d just go back to how we used to be but with him he made it really hard. He rolled his eyes at me.
“Bite me, Cameron.” She put down her menu with an annoyed look and pushed up her chic black Dior shades.
“Yuck.” Cameron gagged. “Why’d you come anyways, attitude could have been left at home.”
Kim lifted a brow. “Uhhh, modeling?
“I came to work.” Amara smiled, sinister. “Already forgotten what that’s like, broke boy?”
Rafe hooted and hollered. “Oh bartenderrrr!”
Cameron’s face turned red with anger while everyone started to laugh at memory of his temp job. I rubbed his shoulder affectionately. Juda held his back but he thought that was funny you could tell.
But really it was the only reason she came, the trip was just three days, the weekend, because she had nursing classes over the summer.
My mom begged for her to fill in for another model who dropped, initially she said she wouldn’t do any modeling this summer to focus on school.
I was thankful. Maybe this trip we could try to talk again.
I was sort of clueless, it tore at a part of my control. Not having the same access I used to have with her.
Dani made a face at her. “It was a dark time of his life and while he has grown I feel we should all not bring that up continuously. We have laughed. Move on. Grow.”
Amara stated with disdain. “Just. Dance.”
I bit the inside of my cheek.
Dani shook her head. “Forgive and forget,” she stressed the word, “ let it go, it’ll be good for you, help ease your temper.”
Kim took a sip of orange juice. “Dani, stop.” She had that look of: stay out of their tiff. Because that was Kim’s approach to our fights, stay out of it.
Dani's jaw dropped. “No, we need to stop this!” She whispered among the girls. “We need to just stop! And we know who it starts with. Rhea apologized.”
I looked between them. “We’re good.” I looked at my most dear friends. “Like, I don’t know…” I trailed off. “I think. On my end it’s perfect.”
Amara pulled her sunglasses down. “Whatever.”
Kim smiled and gave a double thumbs up. “After sightseeing what’s next, it never gets fun exploring Paris.”
I chimed. “How’s those stocks looking?”
She frowned. Deeply. “Poor.”
With Kim, after her family scandal she was still trying to recover. We posted her clothes, went with her, watched her devise plan after plan and complain. She was whining but I felt she was justified in it a bit. It was so sad and disappointing and crazy, and though I wanted to to think of logical plans to get her business back I wasn’t sure what to offer except keep trying.
I settled on patting her shoulder where she was near me. “If you have a plan, something you can execute, logically things can turn around.”
Rafe whistled. “Best of luck on that, purple matey.”
They stared at each other for a while before he muttered something about bad luck. I tried to imagine Kim and Rafe together…it could work actually. They kind of made sense.
Salem looked at his teeth in the reflection of his wine glass. “Here’s to hoping!” His boots on the table was seriously icking me out.
Then just to Amara, Dani had to add, “you need to not try to be so angry on this trip…let your heart be filled with kindness and gentleness, channel that.”
“And where do I channel said thing from?” Amara asked.
Dani opened her mouth like was trying to think of an answer. Then pointed at herself. “Me. You can channel the goodness from me into you.”
“I don’t think that’s how sunshine and rainbows work, Mother Nature. You can’t transfer them.”
I laughed and so did Kim.
The green eyed nature goddess smiled. “It could, if I’m it personified, I can spread the love.” Dani advised gently. “No crazy stunts.”
Dryly the girl replied, “No promises.”
“Crazy is all part of my charm.” Amara’s red lips lifted in a grin.
I lifted a brow, tried for a sarcastic joke. “Or just part of your regular dramatic mentally deranged antics.”
Her deep red almond shaped nail traced the rim of her white mug where hot chocolate laid. “Potato, pohtato.”
I smiled but she couldn’t even do so much as fake one.
It fell awkward between us.
Dani made a serious face. She placed a crystal on the table in front of Amara, one she had started multiple times was to encourage peace and take away anger.
Amara flicked it off the side of the table and it went off the balcony making Dani gasp loudly. I started to cackle with Kim I couldn’t help it.
“My crystal…” she pouted.
Daniela was such a kind, sweet, gentle soul. It was hard not to listen to all her sunshine mumbo jumbo. She was peace personified, everyone’s favorite doting good girl Bambi.
Kim laughed, put her hand to her mouth, showing off her crazy bedazzled studded nails in a rainbow color. “Your crystals won’t help, hun.”
“A crystal can help anything.” She made a growing rainbow sign with her hands. “And you threw it….my poor crystal.”
“Crystal.” She corrected me correcting her.
Cameron scoffed. “Help Amara’s satanic anger? I think not.”
She glared at him. “Again, bite me, asshole. I don’t posses satanic anger.”
Cameron jerked his chin to her man. “I’ll leave that up to your boyfriend.”
Juda barely glanced up again, voice flat. “My favorite task, I assure you. I do it quite often.”
Dani’s eyes widened a little scandalized.“ H-He…bites you?!” Juda didn’t answer. I wasn’t sure if he was joking. She slurred it out in a rush, her entire face went red as she imagined it.
“I bite Rhea all over. I’m rough with her in the sweetest of ways.” Cameron stated proudly.
Salem lifted a hand. Flashed silver skeleton rings all over his fingers. “I’m not into the rough shit, I just loveeeee being sweet in bed though. No marks. Ew. Sweet lovemaking is my vibe, you’re beautiful, you’re so amazing, blah blah blah.”
Amara made a retching face. Stuck her finger towards her open mouth like she hated that.
Dani made a face like that sounded perfect for her then dug into her food that had come since the waiter had taken orders. “I like that.” She whispered.
Salem winked. “You and me, sweet tink.”
“Why not?” Salem pressured her. “Just fuck me.”
“Saints don’t mix with sinners.” She said softly, so true you could feel it. “It’s basic law.”
Salem eyed her. “I’ll be the devil if it means I get to fuck you, tink. We can have our little bad boy good girl story. You’re my exact type. Sweet. Pretty.”
Her chest rose and fell once. “Friends…don’t have sex.”
“I fuck all my girl friends.” He bit his bottom lip. “So give in already, yeah?”
I sent a chilly look his way. “She said no so stop it.”
Dani agreed with a nod but swallowed down a large gulp of juice. She sent me a thankful look but was she really?
Salem rolled his eyes and lit up a cigarette then got yelled at saying it wasn’t a smoking area on the rooftop.
“This is France! I should be able to smoke wherever. The fuck!” He yelled back. “Boo you French whores. Suck my cock.”
Rafe gave us all a wicked grin. “I don’t bite but I do leave marks and marks and marks.
Amara muttered. “I bite him twice as hard.” She side eyed her boyfriend briefly.
“Is that so?” Juda tilted his head at her slightly like he was daring her.
She turned towards him. “Yeah.”
“Mhmm?” He dragged lazily and roughly, his intense blue eyes on her warm brown ones.
“Mmm-hmm.” It held attitude behind it.
They stared at each other for a long moment, it was charged and full of tension before she placed her hand on his face, blocking him out completely but her hand was small so it didn’t work and he smiled at it not working, then she covered his smile with her hand like she was ordering him to stop.
I suppose she thought no one was watching but I saw her kiss her hand over where his actual mouth was. “No kiss for you.” She removed it.
Rafe was staring at Kim’s outfit. “You look like…”
“Uhhhh…Like…” Kim started off.
“Like you’re some child designers art project and not in a good way.”
Kim burst excitedly. “My top was made by an actual child designer from Madrid!” She gestured to it.
Rafe groaned. “Of fucking course it is, purple.”
“I don’t caaaare again, I’ll call you whatever the fuck I want to call you.”
She grumbled and rolled her eyes at him before shoving a pancake piece in her mouth. He bit his bottom lip like he found being mean to her a bit fun.
“Fuck them two.” Rafe waved his hand at them. “Back to all this shit. What the fuck are we going to do, you guys?”
Salem lifted his coffee cup. “Club tonight?”
Cameron glanced at me. “We’d rather cuddle and watch French romance movies but…it’s Paris, c’est la vie!”
Salem stood up on the chair and put his foot on the table. “Huzzah!” He kicked up a plate and chucked it off the balcony.
Amara scolded him. “Get the fuck down, my god.”
Rafe made a cut motion under his neck. “Doing way too much, man.”
Cameron agreed. “Sexy. But overdoing it.”
Salem spun around in his chair and accidentally knocked into the table a bit, he spilled a bit of Juda’s coffee that was on it, making him eye him coldly, indifferent.
Dani lifted her hand. “Sally, you shouldn’t get down.”
“Sally?” I lifted a brow.
She smiled brightly like a kid in a sugar rush. “Salem! Sally!”
“My hookups have called me sally.”he winked at her.
The waiter came back and stared at him. “Sir. Get down.”
Salem put out his arms and leaned over the edge. “Never!”
I dragged my eyes from the immaturity over to my boyfriend beside me who was laughing.
He studied me and I studied him, staring deep into the eyes of the eyes that I love, the hazel there swirled like a thousand forests I could get lost in, like the light filtering through green strained windows.
And he stared back at me before gripping the back of my neck and molding his mouth to mine in a big passionate kiss with all of our friends watching
By the time we all finished up and left the brunch spot the girls had ventured off to another end ahead of the boys, shopping.
Kim was looking at all the stuff around trying to pull inspiration for the line she had coming. “What would be a good idea for a line?” She plucked a purple flower. “Purple flowers?”
I had to laugh. “Aren’t you doing fall?”
“Purple can be fall.” She said defensively and knocked her shoulder into mine. “So how is it being so in love, honey!”
“Tell us, tell us, tell us”. Dani urged. “I mean Cameron is like perfect for you so…share. And I’m sure living with him has been the best thing ever. Like you two as a couple makes the most sense.”
Amara had pushed her sunglasses back up in her hair again, her head angled towards me.
I nodded. “It’s been good, living with Cameron is easy, easier than anything I’ve ever done. Choosing him…” I wasn’t used to all the live attention being on me but I wanted to boast our love, I was proud. “We mainly just lay around watching romance movies, we have—“
“Hot BDSM sex.” Kim finished. “As He tells us all at every turn.”
“—well, yeah, and we just lay around with Maramalde.” I missed my kitty. “Mocha isn’t a fan though.” That’s made Amara smile a little. “But anyways, I just love him so much and he loves me, and yeah I know we are heavy on the pda but I seriously…seriously…love him so much.”
I wanted him to kiss me everywhere and for us to be that annoying couple. I never imagined I’d have a relationship like that.
All along I wanted to be with someone just like me. Snow and lightning, alike enough to share the same sky.
“So happy for you.” Dani beamed. “I love Cameron.”
“Who doesn’t love Cameron?” I asked.
“Me.” Amara said as Kim added, “Kinda me.” They both looked at each other and laughed.
Kim jabbed a finger in my arm. “Though my disdain has faded a bit now seeing how well he treats you, and well he does walk for my shows, it may just be to look good but…he does.” She shrugged. “With you, cam’s cool.”
I adjusted my silver watch. “But I’m still cooler?”
“The coolest woman ever,” Amara actually said.
My smile was small but it came.
Dani sweetly told me.” So cool, like cooler than a selenite crystal. But you’re always cool and calm.” She hugged me and trapped me in a hug. “Always so easy to talk to and get along with.”
I stood there. “Really? I’m not even hugging you back.”
“I can hug you, Rhea, I love you so I can be the warm one.” She didn’t let me go.
Kim started to cackle. “Rhea wants to throw up at the hugs, release her.”
Correct. I patted her back repeatedly and she eventually let me go.
Amara pointed ahead. “Can we head into that vintage store?”
Kim was immediately in. “Oh hell yes!”
Dani complained. “Can we not couture until we drop, my feet hurt.” She pouted and rubbed her head. “And you guys know all those designer brands are bad for the environment–“
Amara held up her hand. “Save it. You coming or not?” She pointed to a tree nearby. “If you’d prefer to go hug the tree than shop no one’s stopping you, Bambi.”
Huge green eyes looked at me. “Will you stay with me?”
I wasn’t a huge shopper either, again online shopping to obsess of clothes details was my things. “Let’s just go in the store, pick up the pace, but if you want to wait outside and rest first we can do that then meet the fashion addicts in the store.”
Kim gave another thumbs up. “Sounds like a plan, on this trip I’m sure to get inspiration somewhere.”
The four of us started walking and I looked over in the distance where the boys were at a table, Salem was dancing around, the slid to a pole curved his leg around it and used that to keep spinning.
The boys were talking, Cameron laughing at his antics, Rafe talking excitedly about something and Juda calmly leaned back with his legs spread.
My eyes found the love of my life’s. I gestured over to the store.
He winked and blew me a kiss and I blew one back. I loved him too dearly.
My momentarily comfort was ruined when I heard a familiar click.
My eyes flitted to the side to the paparazzi and saw them taking photos, i immediately gave a cold shoulder.
“Rhea! Rhea!” I could hear strings of French. “Any news on Camille’s. New movie? Your mom’s new line? Sil vous plaît!”
I held up a hand and turned my head, walking with the girls who were up ahead.
Dani turned around. “Well—“
“Don’t talk to them,” I warned.
“Ahh, Ice Princess, just like your ice queen mother! Come on! Give us something! A smile!”
Kim looked back. “we’re just trying to shop, nothing to see here, go.” She tried French. “Uhhh… si… oui… ah I give up!”
Amara glanced back, made a shoo motion but they didn’t listen.
Dani turns around, gentle and sweet. “Hello guys we understand you’re excited but please don’t–“ They pushed past her to get to me, two still following.
“I said stop.” I demanded, cold.
Amara suddenly whipped around. “Alright, that’s enough, go.” She ate a hand on her hip, used the other to flick them away. “She said no comment.”
“No English!” One blond guy yelled to be annoying.
“I’m sure you’ll understand this then.” She flipped him off rudely.
They paused and then kept taking photos in our faces just to be annoying. I fumbled with my phone ready to call my moms security hanging around or Cameron who was already coming over.
Dani was still trying to be peaceful. “Let’s just breath, and again, please kindly —“
“Do you own the sidewalk?” One asked to be an ass. “Non.” no
“Go fuck yourselves.” That was Amara’s voice but what came next made my jaw drop.
She was beside a vegetable stand in the square and had chucked a tomato from the stand at one of the paparazzi, it landed right on one of their shirts, splattering messy red all over it.
Dani gaped loudly. “Amara! You can’t do that!”
“Crazy American bitch!” The brunette man yelled in shock. All it did was make her put a hand to her chest and mock-pout.
The woman at the stand. Spoke in broken English, “hey, pretty American girl, you can not—“
Amara handed her a bunch of money from her dior wallet, cash.
She put up her hand and stepped back with a wide grin as she counted. “poursuivre!” Go ahead.
Kim ran over immediately joining in, she grabbed a Tomato and threw it. “Yeah! Go fuck yourselves!”
Amara started chucking tomatoes without care and they started to dodge, I stood in shock. Then looked over. “You can’t be—“
She tossed me a tomato. Encouraging me to act out and do it. It reminded me of when we were kids, her always doing something crazy and wanting me to tag along. I always said no.
I threw up the tomato then caught it as the blond stared at me, this was such a wild thing to do, no one would expect it from me.
One photographer didn’t believe it. “elle ne le ferait pas…” she wouldn’t
Dani looked at me. “This is so bad! No. Guys.” She sounded disappointed. “Rhea.”
Without a word I chucked the tomato straight at the blonds face, stepping back as it burst and splattered to not get my dress stained. A smile went to my lips and I sped walk over to my friends, now all three of us were throwing tomatoes while they dodged trying to run.
French people were nosy so people started to laugh and point as all the photographers dodged the tomatoes like it was dodgeball. It didn’t work. We had pretty good aim so they were getting hit repeatedly.
“Shit!” One slipped in it, shattering the camera and like that we stopped.
Then we started to laugh, like belly laugh loudly, leaning onto each other and clutching our stomachs like it was the funniest thing ever. Dani shook her head at all of us.
The paparazzi ran away after that and we’d finally stopped laughing.
I looked over. “Tomatoes?”
Amara dusted her hands. “I use what’s available to me.”
Kim was still cackling. “Did we just tomato attack someone?” She was still laughing.
“Viva la revolution.” Came Amara’s witty reply. “The French way.”
I shook my head at Amara’s antics while Kim cracked up entirely. The two of us shared a look and I swallowed, thinking of what to say.
Thank you, you crazy bitch.
I miss you I just want us to go back to how we used to be.
Dani walked up to us. “Amara…” she shook her head disappointed. “That was not how that should have been handled.”
“Don’t.” She rolled her head from one side to the other. “Care.” She adjusted her dress. “I should have thrown it after they didn’t take the first no.”
“Again with the violence?” Dani asked with a shake of her head.
“Get with the program, toots. And it wasn’t violence. Don’t take it so seriously. It was tomatoes.”
“I feel like that was all so…unnecessary.” Dani said carefully.
I sighed. “Atleast they’re gone. I hate paparazzi.” I looked down at my dress. And none got on me! Yay!
“It’s their Job!” Dani defended, as a journalist herself I’m sure she’d find a way to defend it. “And again, we should try to be kinder, maybe then our run ins with them in Paris wouldn’t be so…like that. We could have handled that with grace, more grace than first referring to violence.”
“It’s tomatooooooessssss,” Amara dragged out. “They’ll live.”
Kim dug out money from her Wallet and handed it to the lady. “And hey, we paid.” I did the same and the woman selling smiled brightly at the addition of money in her hands.
“And it was a waste of earths produce.” Dani was truly disappointed. “Do you know how long it takes thing to grow?”
Amara spread her arms and turned around. “Not a waste, we used it to tomato attack people, perfected to me, tomatoes—you can eat them, and throw them.”
“That’s not funny…again, you didn’t have to resort to…” Dani sighed and let it go. “I don’t like us acting like that. Or you.”
I patted her shoulder. “There, there.”
Kim started to laugh again. “But did you see him slip! Now that was some funny ass shit.”
“Landed and broke his ugly face on the pavement.” Amara added with a teasing lilt, “maybe his blood will serve as fertilizer and a new flower will sprout.”
I smiled. “A sunflower maybe?”
“I’m betting on a Daisy.” Kim chuckled.
“Hmm I was thinking petunias.” Amara stroked her purple and black hair. “I’m sure we can please Dani that way.”
Dani looked around. “Not funny. That’s nature.”
Like that we were all laughing again. I couldn’t stop it but I didn’t want to. I loved and adored my friends and as Cameron headed towards me, scooping me up kid my laugh in his arms my heart filled with more of that feeling.
He spun me around. “What’s so funny?”
My head shook and my face went red. “Never. It’s our universe, my love.”
His expression warmed at me calling him my love. “Toujours?” Always?
I grinned. “Ensemble.” Together.
Till the end of time, he spun me and dipped me and people around us clapped as we put on a show for love, I never thought I could be so carefree, so openly loving, but I was, I’d changed, and it was all for my narcissistic boyfriend, the love of my life.
It was all for Cameron, he was all mine, all of me was part of him, we were yolked, our ribs, the missing piece in them was in each other, each bone fitting perfectly within the other.
Hours later my boyfriend and I had separated from the group to wander into the Musée d’Orsay. My art loving boyfriend, I loved to hear him talk about art and he’d turned me into an art lover.
The two of us stopped in front of the Édouard Manet, his hand on my ass squeezing without care making me blush.
“It’s beautiful.” I smiled.
My boyfriend chuckled and it felt like returning home after a long day away. “You being an art lover now because of me is insane.”
“It only took destroying your cousins dreams to get there.”
“She’s found her direction.” He clicked his tongue. “Less weak of a Pierson now, cubs growing up.”
“And it wasn’t us that did that to her.”
“When we have kids they’ll be the strongest.” He pulled me closer, whispered in my ear. “They’ll know they were the son and daughter of Gods.”
My lips skimmed his cheek in a kiss as we made out way to the Pierre-Auguste Renoir. “You and me,” I agreed. “Living gods with eternal love.”
A slap on my ass made me jump and he playfully bit my neck. “je t’aime.” I love you.
“Not as much as I love you.” I had to say it.
Cameron looked at me fully, he grinned and it was like the sun shining down on me, threatening to wither me away. “I love you, Rhea Pomeline Caldwell.” His gaze softened. “As much as I love myself, as much as I love art,” he said again, making my heart beat faster. “as much as I love me.”
The way my heart exploded with feelings made what I thought was an icy heart heat. My blood burned for him. Every bit of me was his. Heated. Un-chilled. Open and free.
Cameron lips swept me up into a kiss, his tongue parted my own lips and I melted into him as time stopped and we became one.
Letting me go he pulled me along to another painting. Edgar Degas - The Ballet Class, “I remember your ballet days.”
I cringed. “I hated ballet. So did Mara.”
Cameron made a face. “You weren’t good.” I side-eyed him. “Too stiff, too extraordinary for ballet.” I smiled realizing he was complimenting me. “Too basic for you, you were a better horse-rider that’s for sure.”
“You watched one of my matches?” Knowing he watched me made my giddy.
He snorted. “Fuck no. Just walked in on my friend who was also a horseback rider watching your match back.”
And he still complimented me and admitted I was good.
My gaze went to the ballet painting again. “Truly beautiful.”
“The definition, the attention to detail.” He said in a philosophical way. “The strokes and use of lighting it all pulls you in, princess. You’re art. You pull me in.”
“Cameron?” I looked over at him.
“Mm?” He looked over at me.
“We’re written in the stars.” I whispered, full of love and affection for him.
His blinding smile sent butterflies erupting in my stomach. “Princess, we rule the fucking stars.”
And when we’d wandered out of the museum after hours to the starry night sky I felt how true it was all over again. We ruled our universe. We were at the top. There was no one but us and we ruled the stars.
Cameron and I? We ruled the entire world.
And it took love to make me realize that.
My phone buzzed and I looked at the text Sydney sent.
SYDNEY: dammit! My movie shoot location leaked. :(
I looked up. “People found out Sydney’s movie location.”
Cameron winced. “Damn.” He peeked over my shoulder. “Oh she attactched the article.”
I didn’t bother to open it and put my phone back in my Chanel. “Doesn’t matter. I love you.”
“I love you too, princess.”
